Great zoom and pictures are super clear even without a tripod.

Summary: Love the camera! Small, light weight, and very easy to use. I have not yet learned how to use all of the features but the automatic setting works great. Just wished batteries lasted a little longer, but they are AA so you just pop in a fresh set and recharge the ones you took out.
Unless you are a pro photographer you won't need more than this camera has

Summary: I bought the sx120 as a replacement for an sx100 that broke when a AA battery leaked. Using AA batteries is the only negative on this camera. It eats batteries, but you can buy a mains adapter to power the camera for indoor extended shooting. If you leave batteries in this camera don't store it on its side. That's how battery juice got in the function switch and ruined the sx100.
Summary: I got robbed. Will not purchase anything from Canon without extensive testing before hand. Seriously feel robbed.
Pros: None. Oh, I meant to say, none. (BTW this website is nearly as terrible).
Cons: Expensive. Won't focus in low light. Won't focus in soft light. Won't focus in medium light. Won't focus in high light. Did I mention it won't focus? I have tried every option, every apeture setting, every lighting situation, everything!
Summary: This is a very nice camera. Battery life is excellent, especially with lithium batteries. I really like the true colors in the pictures and it's ability to take good quality photos in fairly dim light without the use of a flash. I've been using it for close to a year and have found it to be durable and reliable. It is very versatile having both manual and automatic modes, as wells having video capability. It does have one annoying shortcoming...there is no viewfinder.
A superb camera that takes great pictures & lots of auto & custom settings!

Summary: The zoom on this camera is fantastic! For a point and shoot camera, it takes amazing pictures. It's a little more clunky than your average point and shoot - you couldn't fit it in your average pocket - but it's worth it for the quality of the pictures and the features that come with the camera. It will take great pics just on "Auto," and with several programmed settings eg.
Excerpt: The camera is great for it's price. 10MP may not sound many , as now almost all cameras are 14 or more , but who needs the image to be crystal clear at 10 mp resolution ? When you resize them down to 1600x1200 it's perfect.I love it's macro , and the tele zoom.It keeps low noise up to ISO 400 ,and it starts to be notable (tiny dots) only when you reach ISO 800 . But in this kind of situations there is a enough powerful flash that can deliver you a good quality image.
A great little gem of a digital at a very good price.

Summary: I really like this little camera. I've only been able to use it twice but find the pictures crisp and the colors very good. I have been a die hard 35mm user for many years so found this little gem easy to use. I wanted something I could carry with me all at times and yet be a little more then a point & shoot so this really fits the bill. I will be attending my granddaughters high school graduation soon and this will be ideal format for that occasion.
