Great, for a while...
12 December 2009
Summary: I received this camera for my anniversary from my husband. I loved how easy it was to use and the picture quality. Unfortunately, a year and a half after purchase, I got the fatal "lens error". This effectively means the camera is dead and can only be repaired by Canon for $99.
Summary: I bought this camera in May of 2008 because I had an old (26 yrs) 35mm Canon that I loved and it always took great photos. After about 6 months, the camera started to fail to focus at random. The lens jammed in September '08 and would not retract. It gave me a reset message.
Summary: I BOUGHT A CANON POWERSHOT SX100IS FOR $223.00 Dlls.THROUGH AMAZON.COM, FROM 17th.Street Photo AND IT WAS A GREEN LEMON AND A RIP=OFF BECAUSE THE ZOOM WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEVER WAS ABLE TO GET A CLEAR PICTURE......ALWAYS BLURRED!!! AND UPON TRYING TO USE THE ZOOM..
Summary: I was very displeased with this camera. It would drain batteries in record time. I would get only 30 minutes of picture time from brand new batteries. A lot of the pictures I took came out blurry, even if I used the kid mode for action shots.
Summary: Canon PowerShot SX100IS 8MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Silver) I purchased this Camera by looking into the positive reviews that every other site had. Here are the problems - This has just a reasonable picture quality. But this severely fails in dim light.
