Canon Powershot SX10 IS

The Canon Powershot SX10 IS is a 10-megapixel digital camera that measures 4.88 x 3.48 x 3.42 inches (W x H x D) and weighs approximately 19.8 ounces. It is equipped with an optical image stabilization system for reduction of blurs due to fast moving objects as well as camera shakes.

The Powershot SX10 IS is equipped with a 2.5-inch vari-angle TFT LCD display with a wide viewing angle. This display has a pixel canvas of approximately 230,000 dots.

The camera can capture still images of up to 3,648 x 2,736 pixels and saves in JPEG format. It is capable of recording videos at both VGA (640 x 480 pixels) and QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) resolutions. Video clips are captured at 30 frames per second and are saved in MOV format. It can record up to 4 gigabytes of HD videos which is equivalent to approximately 60 minutes of recordings.

Still images and video recordings are saved in memory cards. Compatible types include SD, SDHC, MMC, MMC Plus, and HC MMC Plus.

The Powershot SX10 IS is powered by 4 AA alkaline batteries which can be replaced with 4 AA rechargeable NiMH batteries. Using the supplied alkaline batteries, it can take approximately 340 shots or last up to 720 minutes of playback. When using rechargeable NiMH batteries, it can take up to 600 shots or last up to 840 minutes of continuous playback.

Other features of the Canon Powershot SX10 IS include optical zoom of up to 20x and digital zoom of up to 4x. It features 24 different shooting modes and 11 different photo effects. Apart from these, it supports direct printing through Canon and SELPHY Compact Photo Printers, PIXMA Photo Printers, and PictBridge-compatible printers.

    If the flash is turned off, it will hold the lens open longer. That's what was causing my pictures to appear blurry. Even if the subject is way to far away for the flash to be any effect, turning it on made the shutter snap faster and the pictures were clear.

    No, it doesn't support timelapse recording but it has a self-timer. This camera is good and i can also suggest Nikon
