Canon Powershot SD870 is great for casual picture-taking

Excerpt: The Canon Powershot SD870 is a really good camera for regular use- I take it out with friends and family, to sporting events, etc- I've gotten some great pictures with the zoom of athletes at sporting events. However, it is not a camera that would last forever-- I treat mine well and it has slowly developed some issues. I'll be looking to replace it in the next couple of years (I've had it for a year) so don't buy this and expect it to last too long.
Excerpt: this is a really great camera. I needed a camera for having my first child, and this is one that I got at an amazing price on clearance, and I just love it. the quality is amazing. I use it for video's just as much as I do for pictures, and it is great!!! It has beautiful picture and the quality is great. I recommend it to everyone.
Excerpt: I have owned a Cannon Camera SD870 for quite a while and love it! It is not excellente but it takes nice and crisp pictures. For a regular person like me this camera is perfect. It has 8.0 megapixels of resolution, an optical image stabilizer, face detection, a large 3.0 inch lcd, auto ISO shit, and 3.8x optical zooming. It takes some time to get use to all the features that this camera offers but it is easy to use. This camera takes wonderful pictures but the...
Excerpt: I started getting into photography at an esrly age. I used to use the old 24mm cameras. It was such a pain using actual film bak then. I can't imagine how it would be now. I love ow technology has gotten beter and better. My first dgita camera wasonly 5 megapixels and i thought that was great at the time. being abl to shoot 900 pictures with no film. WOW! But when i got my hands on the Canon owershot D870 i threw the other away.
Excerpt: I admit I am no camera/photo buff but I have had this camera for over 2 years. I got it when my then gf lost my Panasonic Lumix in the movie theater and I needed a replacement. When it arrived I was surprised that it wasn't as light as my old camera and is a bit bulky compared to the other Canon models. The picture quality is excellent and so is the video quality. Sometimes when I feel the photo files are too large I need to tone them down a bit in the Camera settings.
Excerpt: I got this camera for Christmas about 3-4 years ago and have been pretty happy with it, but am now ready for a new one. Canon is the only brand of camera i have ever owned and just love them all. This camera has 8 Megapixels and an image stabelizer, which is so nice. It also has face recognition, red eye reducer, video, a really big screen, and tons of settings and options. There are more than i have even attempted to use.
Excerpt: I purchased this Canon Powershot SD870 IS as a backup to my Digital SLR Rebel. I must say that I got an outstanding deal. This camera is not only light, small, and easy to carry around, but it also takes outstanding pictures. It has great menu options for when you want to adjust your settings, or when you are just wanting to let the camera do all of the work. The autofocus is responds extremely fast and is very accurate.
Excerpt: This is a great little camera that is very portable and can be used almost everywhere you go and take it. It is very light and portable and has the SD drive which is compatible with almost everything. I have got it for many of my friends and relatives and gifts and all they have to say about it is positive things. I would recommend this to anybody doubting or debating on which camera to buy because this is the one to go to.
Excerpt: The Canon Powershot SD780 IS digital camera is a great little camera! We purchased this camera about 8 months ago in order to take it on our Disney vacation. We spent alot of time reading reviews on many digital cameras to find one in our price range that had the options we wanted. I love the small size and weight of this camera. It is so convenient to carry around either in your purse, pocket or in a small camera case.
The Canon Powershot is great quality for a digital camera.

Excerpt: Last year after Christmas we decided it was time to get a camera. We didn't do a lot of research and ended up getting what I would call the Nikon version of this Canon powershot and were hugely disappointed! So we took it back and exchanged it for the Canon Powershot SD870 IS. What a difference! This camera is way better quality. The pictures are clear and not yellow!
