Summary: Wonderful! This birthday present got a real workout on a recent trip. Went to the aquarium... wait! I have a setting for that! Went to the zoo with kids... have a setting for that too! AND let's talk about the zoom!
Summary: I am a very satisfied customer after purchasing this camera. I am not a photographer, but I needed something simple and quick for family occasions, celebrations, etc. Because of it's simplicity, it's the ideal camera for me. Most often than not, I get nice clear photographs.
Summary: You can read all the other reviews about what this has and what works. However, the 2 things that really impressed me are the video and the digital macro. The video is way better than I expected and with sound too. My friends were so impressed, they went out and bought a camera just like this.
Summary: Buy it ...You'll like it !!! I've been a Canon Digital Camera user since November,1999 ( for those youngins out there, thats the first year digital cameras were availiable to the general public at a reasonable price ) Prior to that, I have had Canon SLR's since 1977 ( I remember because it was the...
Summary: I purchased the camera on sale at Office Depot for 20% and received another 15% for family and friends discount. It has a normal retail price of $299. The camera is great. So far I have used it for outdoor macro photos, some regular outdoor photos, people, and my dog.
Summary: I own a Canon 3SIS and enjoy by SD 850 IS more. It is easy to use and fits comfortably in your pocket. I take it with me all of the time. It goes without saying that in the lower ISO settings there is little to no noise in the pictures. Using the higher ISO settings increases the noise level.
Pros: The digital macro produces nice images with flowers and insects. Adjusting the white balance to -1/3 and shooting in the manual mode creates nice pictures.
Cons: The maximum zoom produces very grainy images.
Summary: I love ths camera. It is at my side all the time and I have tken thousands of pictures, It does things that is shouldn't do, like clarity using a zppm up to 15x hand held and sharp. I also own the Canon 400. 700. 300 but the 850 with the wide sngle view is not to be beat.
Summary: I recently bought this camera right before a trip to Europe. I barely had time to read any of the instructions but was able to figure out most things on my own. This camera is very easy to use and the pictures are beautiful. I especially like the face recognition for focusing.
Summary: I am not that experienced but for me this camera is the greatest thing I ever bought. It's light weight, takes great shots of people, and is easy to use. It seems a little slow when you try to take a picture and I am trying to figure out how to correct that.
