Another Cannon next time? You bet!

Summary: I bought this camera to replace an identical one that my husband took on a short swim in the Caribbean. I like this camera because it is easy to use, takes great pics of grandchildren in motion, but is also good when using the macro lens on close-ups.
Excerpt: The Canon SD850 IS is a great camera if you're going for portability and size, not as great if you're going for image quality, night-time shots, or video. Canon makes wonderful digital cameras and I must admit that once I left film and got into digital cameras, I have only ever purchased Canon cameras. The benefit of the Canon SD series is that it gets you beautiful looking cameras that are small enough to fit into your pocket and that you can take anywhere.
Excerpt: I have always loved Canon for digital cameras. This is my second camera and I like that it is small enough to take anywhere. The picture quality is outstanding especially for outdoor pictures. There is also a manual option to adjust shutter speed and light. For those that do not like manual, there is a screen option that has preset aperture and shutter speeds for action shots, night shots, indoor, fireworks, etc.

Excerpt: it is pretty big compared to the tiny cameras these days but the functions are pretty much self-explanatory and compared to the easy functions the pictures come out great no need to adjust - point and click - just about works on everything love the quality of the pictures
Excerpt: This SD 870 is really great to carry and use. It lacks some things the Pro's would want but is perfect for home and vaction use. The pictures it produces are extremely good and the software that comes with the camera is easy to use. My only complaint about the camera, and the only reason I don't rate it five star is the very slow refresh time.
Excerpt: Canon has very good reputation in producing some of the best cameras, and this is an inclusion in that list. i have this camera for the last 6 months, and i am glad i have it. it works so well that i keep this camera with me all the time. it has excellent clarity result as compared to same category other brand cameras. it shots at the same time of pressing button, so no waiting gap..and that feature impresses me more. other features are good to have.
Excerpt: Love the camera, although mine is old and the button sticks. The main problem is Canon typically does not have a rechargable battery, and so you have to buy fresh ones fairly consistently, which can be spendy. But otherwise a great camera!
Excerpt: I love my little powershot.. especially since i can throw it in my purse, or even my pocket and take it anywhere with me. It takes realy good pictures. the only draw back is that it doesn't click as fast as I would like. I don't think many cameras in this price range click fast enoug for my three kids though!!! Of all the choices we had in our price rand, I'd sa this wasdefinately our best choice.
Excerpt: This is a piece of work. It is strong robust and made by canon, need i say more. The pic. quality is excellent for a machine in its price range and it takes great videos also. I especially admire the default frames and the settings.
Excerpt: Canon has always had the best cameras. Features are useful and the resulting pictures are on par with the more expensive brands. But opt out of AUTO mode and go to program to get the best results.
