Summary: This is my second Canon Powershot SD850. For two years I loved my little camera...great features, easy portability, good pix, power button only TInkerbell could push. Then it was stolen on New Year's Day. So I bought another from Amazon Marketplace...previously owned but not used.
Summary: How many of us Canon "Water Damage" victims are there, I wonder? Like another reviewer, I purchased the Canon SD850 IS several months ago and have used it regularly. It suddenly stopped working - the lens would not retract. I sent it to Canon for service under their one year warranty.
Summary: I had my camera for about... 9 months before it started to take blurry photos. Then, all of a sudden the lens wouldn't retract. When I shipped it to Cannon for repairs, I got an email back asking me to pay for the repairs (that would cost 1/2 the price of a new camera and the repair work wouldn't be...
Summary: This camera would receive 10 if it was not for what i think is a basic design fault!! Camera devlops the dreaded E18 fault for no apparent reason cost of repair the price of a new camera!!! So much for Cannon service
Pros: This is a great camera until like a lot of Cannon compacts it develops the dreaded E18 fault now seen as "lens fault restart camera"
Summary: The 'ixus 950 IS' has a cheap and plastic feel to it. The selection wheel at the side is awful, like something on a cheap child's toy. The body feels like it might shatter the first time it gets dropped.
