Summary: Design is very slick and looks professional. Very pocketable.. When you click photos and look at it through the high contrast LCD on the back the pictures it look wonderful. You will tend to fall in love with the camere because of that..
Summary: This feature packed camera with image stabilization, 4x zoom and past experience with Canon cameras didn't take long to convice me to bite the bullet and buy this small wonder. Took it home and made lots of "test shots" to see what this puppy could handle...
Summary: First off, the pictures are stellar. I am an amateur user with a critical eye. This camera shoots awesome pics. No question. I researched different cameras and read as much as I could. I did read about the video noise problem with this one...some people had it, some didn't.
Summary: I have studied and read every review about all the compact cameras and felt that the SD700 would be the best choice by far. High quality pics with optical image stabilization is great. The only thing that concerned me was that some people complain about the noise when taking videos.
Excerpt: The first thing you will notice about this ixus when you pick it up is its weight, its no the lightest, but its not too heavey either. The weight shows how well built it is and is due to its primarly metal casing.
Pros: Good quality Photos, Image Stabilizer, Compact, Large Screen
Summary: This compact is very unusual in having a wide angle lens - much more usefull than longer telephoto, and a viewfinder - necessary in strong sunlight. It's also well made and intuitive to operate. Unfortunately, the lens is unsharp, images are rather soft at the edges at wider angles.
Summary: Just something to be aware if you are one of those people who get annoyed by not having your gadgets in perfect condition! Being a fan of Canon digital cameras, I replaced my Canon Ixus 500 with this smaller more compact camera expecting wonderful things.
