The Canon PowerShot SD4000 IS is a digital camera that houses a 10.0 Megapixel CMOS sensor and is powered by Canon’s DIGIC 4 Image Processor. The camera also features Canon HS SYSTEM that supports low light image capture and provides users with blur-free shots. It allows users to capture images without using the flash via its high ISO speeds, and the dynamic range technology which retains maximum detail in highlight and shadow areas. It sports an f/2.0 aperture, and let users record video in 720p high definition (1280 x 720 pixels). Users can also enjoy HD movies (and still photos) on an HDTV with a mini-HDMI connector for direct connection to a high definition TV monitor, has Super Slow Motion Movie function where users can shoot clips at high speed (approx. 240fps) and plays them back at 30fps for super slow motion, High-Speed Burst to capture best possible shot within a moment of fast-moving action such as sporting events, kids in motion, wildlife and any situation with unpredictable movement; Miniature Effect which creates an illusion where very large objects appear in miniature proportions; Fisheye Effect which uses barrel distortion to warp the image around the center, giving a distinctive curvature effect to the photo; an ISO sensitivity of up to 6400; and Low Light mode that lets users capture images in conditions of insufficient light, such as those lit by candles, fire, or street lamp.
