I've owned this camera now for a few years. As a Computer Engineer and Computer Tech I am required to work a lot with digital cameras. I must say that this camera exceed all my expectations. Great quality, small, long battery life, great flash and many options. When I print the images at local stores (Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc.) the images are so sharp, some people think they are post cards. Even though it's a bit outdated, I still recommend this camera. I previously owned a Canon IXUS II, a 3.2 Mega pixel camera which I used to take over 3000 quality pictures. I upgraded to the IXUS 50 after reading a review. I have to say that I'm disappointed. This Canon IXUS camera is incapable of taking good indoor or evening pictures. Read more
If you're reading this review, obviously you're probably thinking about picking up this camera used, as it is 3 years old...then this review if for you. I got this camera xmas 2005 and it has served me well. Having 3 kids, this camera has gone through tons of pictures and movie taking.
