Good Camera, Better to just buy a good phone

  • Excerpt: I like this camera, if you're in the market for a basic point and shoot camera, I would recommend this one.  If you're a professional photographer - you're probably not reading a review for this camera. To be honest, I stopped using this camera after I got my iPhone, but it was good while it lasted. The pictures do have great quality stemming from the fact that it has so many megapixels. Is this camera different than any other brand on the market? Probably not.

good digital camera

  • Excerpt: For the price that you would pay for this camera, I have found it an extremely great bang for the buck.  The quality of pictures it takes is great for a point and shoot camera, definitely the best I have ever owned and I have owned at least five in my lifetime.  It also takes considerably good video and the sound quality on the video is pretty good.

Great pics - overall Excellent but a little slow

  • Summary: I bought this camera about 9 months ago and use it a lot, both for still pics and short video clips. At the same time I bought a 8GB card and that has been plenty of capacity. The photos come out great and the camera is easy to use. I especially like the extremely wide angle view, which is what I chose this model for in the first place. It lets me get everyone in a room into a shot, even when I can't back up very far.

Great camera

  • Summary: We are very pleased with the Canon PowerShot SD3500IS. It takes excellent pictures and amazing videos. In low light situations the imaging stabilizing makes all the difference in the world. The lens cover is a little cheap and occasionally does not close completely the first time you turn the camera off, other than that no problems.

"i really loved it!"

  • Pros: it took beautiful pictures especially the macro lots of different settings the auto was pretty awesome nice colour balance excellent picture quality a really great point and shoot
  • Cons: high price made me very worrisome it was stolen about 3 different times = 3 new cameras. :( the colour balance was sometimes off, up close face shots created a higher contrast = orange colour & lower definition touch got frustrating sometimes

Great wide angle-touchscreen only okay

T. L. Pester, Amazon
30 March 2011
  • Summary: I bought this camera as a replacement for my Canon SD 1400 which I misplaced for about six weeks. I knew the camera was larger and that the reviews on the touch screen were quite mixed. The wide-angle was appealing to me but I saw little use for the touch screen. I shot about 200 pictures of my granddaughter recently and found that I liked the touch screen to focus on an object that I specified by touching on the screen.
