Canon PowerShot SD3500 IS Review

Digital Camera Review
22 February 2011
  • Summary: Buying a digital camera is not as easy as it was in the early days of the digital imaging revolution, and that's good for consumers. Today's digital camera marketplace offers even more complex imaging products and shutterbugs of every stripe have more choices than they've ever had before, but sorting through the flood of imaging options available might give even the Dali Lama cause for frustration.
  • Pros: Easy to use, Very good pictures, HD video, Large 3.5-inch LCD
  • Cons: Touchscreen LCD is slow and imprecise in use, More expensive than most of its competition, Slight tendency toward over-exposure

What Digital Camera
23 November 2010
  • Excerpt: Canon IXUS 210 offers plenty of style, with a super-wide 3.5in LCD and a maximum video resolution of 720p. But how does it compare with other wideangle zoom compacts? The Canon IXUS 210 review...

Canon IXUS 210 / PowerShot SD3500 IS ELPH

Camera Labs
1 March 2010
  • Summary: Considering the IXUS 210 / PowerShot SD3500 IS is only the second touch-screen compact the company has produced, it feels like a very 'finished' product. If you have any qualms about having to rely solely on the screen to change settings and choose options, you can forget them; the touch-screen on the Canon IXUS 210 / PowerShot SD3500 IS works like a dream. About the only drawbacks are the fingerprints and smearing which you'll have to get used to.
  • Pros: Responsive touch-screen controls., Manual touch focus., Excellent image quality., SDXC and Eye-Fi card compatible.
  • Cons: Flash performance and slow recycle., No optical zoom while shooting movies., Slow continuous shooting.

Canon IXUS 210 review

Amateur Photographer
3 April 2014
  • Summary: Despite my anxieties about the touchscreen, the Canon IXUS 210 performed well. It is slower to use than a model with conventional buttons, but given the point-and-shoot nature of compact cameras, most people won't change the settings from one shot to the next. It produces excellent images that are perfect for the casual snapper, while the few manual exposure settings and the stylish design will also appeal to those who demand a little more.

PC Advisor
19 December 2010
  • Summary: The Canon IXUS 210 IS Touch is one of the best and most intuitive to use compact digital cameras on the market at the moment. It's for those who want a light digital camera with a little bit of flair that's very solidly built and can take great pictures.

Canon IXUS 210 IS Touch – Review

D-Photo and The Photographer's Mail
5 June 2010
  • Excerpt: Ashley Kramer gets touchy-feely with Canon’s new Ixus Touchscreens are obviously where the world is headed. Apple has made the touchscreen a critical presence on entertainment devices and, like it or not, the ubiquitous feature is coming to a camera near you. It’s a simple way for manufacturers to make cameras easier to use and to differentiate their products from the competition, especially now that the megapixel war is dying out.
  • Pros: 24mm wide-angle lens, Touchscreen operation, First-rate image quality
  • Cons: Average low-light performance

  • Summary: A high-resolution point-and-shoot camera with a 3.5-inch, high-resolution touch screen and 720p HD video capabilities.Hard on the heels of the Ixus 200 IS Touch (which we didn't review) comes Canon's Ixus 210 IS Touch, which shares many features with its predecessor but is $100 cheaper.
