Summary: since my camera is my bread and butter for the last 20 years AND keeping in mind i did buy this for my neices and nephew. IM sticking to my big gun hasselblad H3DII NOW i know a 40k+ cam is outta the question for most but hey you get what you pay for and it DOES matter if its what pays the rent..
Pros: it takes OK pictures the firmware is ok for entry level or student its said to accept the new HCSD cards(check canon website) good shutter speed ok color matching
Cons: lacking the correct speed card it would be wise to purchase additonal mem card. I agree that the card should be seperate from battery also changing batteries is a pain NO charge feature. if your considering a career with this camera save your cash my rootcanal was less painfull than having canon ...
Summary: I am a 55 year old xray tech and a little tech savy-- I did not abuse, mishandle or mistreat this camera in any way --so is this a major problem for this camera or did I just get a lemon? The main reason I bought this is for the grandbaby--all the other shots are just for fun.
Pros: OK--have really used this camera a lot--2,000 pictures, some problems getting the close in focus to "hold"--- got 1,400 pics on the same set of batteries, have shot totally amazing close-up shots-butterflies,birds, roses, and until several hours ago was still pretty pleased with it. NOW-- trying ...
Cons: I bought on line the adapter, ac power cord, solid blue polarizing and uv filter, and a new size lens cap to fit over the adapter. The new lens cover snaps on securely but I miss having it secured to the camera--that was handy--this new cap does not have a thingy to threat a strap to. I will not ...
Summary: just giving a heads up about the epson 75$ rebate for the epson cx 4400 with this item. You will not get the full 75$ rebate. you will get only the actual price paid for the epson printer which is 49$ Newegg combo price says 310 after combo rebate. Not true!! Just a heads up
Summary: I guess a point and shoot will always be a point and shoot. This camera is decent, the vari-angle LCD is great but it doesn't make up for the noisy pictures that this camera produces. I purchased this camera for a family trip.
Pros: Love the Vari-angle LCD for low angle shots. 12x optical zoom.
Cons: Noisy pictures even at ISO 100. Flimsy lens cap that falls off all the time.
Summary: I bought a S2 IS 18 months ago I agree with the favourable comments on the camera's performance and was very pleased with it until it died a month ago, 5 months out of warranty, needing a new lens. Despite being well cared for the option is a £170+ repair bill or replacement.
Summary: Nur 2 Sterne für meine vierte Canon!
