Summary: I bought this camera in Nov 2014 and still going strong, no issues at all. What brought me to this camera is the pocket size, just a nice fit to carry around with a small case. I compared it to the RX100, had the chance to try it out and just found it a little bigger, not really pocket size and...
Summary: It does everything my DSLR (70D) does except for rotating display and considering the amount of glass it has the image quality is stunning. Cannot imagine anything better in the terms of IQ/size
Summary: I bought this camera as a keep close all the time camera. I have taken about 200 photos with it and some video. The camera works great for stills and video, although battery life suffers in video mode. The manual modes work great and it has very good low light capabilities for what it is.
Summary: I love my S120. I've had most of the models from the S90 on. This one is fast, reliable, takes great pictures, and has great features/options. I love the star shooting modes - check out the attached pic I took with this little camera.
Summary: I travel a lot and I got tired of hauling a SLR around or not having the SLR when I saw a great photo opportunity. This camera does everything a SLR does except change lens and it can even simulate some common lens lengths. I like HDR and this camera does bracketing or auto HDR processing.
Summary: Really nice camera that fits in your front jeans pocket while giving you the power of an entry level reflex. Ideal for travel, family meetings or everyday use, when you don't want to carry your bulky reflex with several lenses around.
Summary: This is probably the best S-series camera Canon has come out with (so far0. The S110 and S100 do not compare to this one in terms of picture quality and features available. I have used the Powershot G15 and G1x as well and the picture quality is almost identical.
Conclusion: We purchased the Powershot S120 to take on our trip to France, because I did not want to carry my Canon 60D due to its size. The S120 is so easy to use and took spectacular photos - even better than some that I had taken on a previous trip to Europe with the 60D.
