Good money paid, good images do not make up for lens error issues.

Summary: Like the camera, hate that I have just been hit by a lens error message for the second time. First time was while on vacation in Europe. Fixed by Canon, but it did not help with documenting my vacation. Just recently the error message reappeared. Great images and features, but this is an issue that hopefully has been resolved...a real nuisance. As a consumer, I am looking for a lemon law...
Great quality photos. 1 large problem with video gives it a thumbs down.

Summary: Picture quality is relly good. Only problem is the camera has a flickering video issue which is well documented. It was supposedly fixed with a firmware update however my camera already came with the firware update and still has the problem. The problem seems to be with artificial light and your recorded video will have the flickering in it. I would not go back and buy this again if I had the chance because of the flickering video.
Excerpt: Overall, I love the size and image quality of the images. Problems: When using the video mode there is a faint vertical line that appears on the screen. This line is about two thirds on the right of the screen. Upon playback of the recorded images this vertical line also appears on the playback. However the line is blatantly obvious in the playback mode. I am playing imags son imovie. Is this normal?
