Excerpt: I bought the PowerShot G16, so that I could have a "no excuses" camera to take shooting -- even on days when my back didn't like the idea of carrying my heavy DSLR. My first day out, I walked and walked, and shot and shot. No back strain. Easy to use.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality
Excerpt: Being a user of rangefinder cameras when I was growing up in the 70s, the G 16 is a lovely blend of classic compact design and modern technolgy. Sure its not perfect, manual ring adjustment on lense, slightly wider angle and a touch longer zoom would be icing on the cake.
good deal for the price but replacement batteries are not good quality compared to original

Summary: i love the canon, i had the previous version before and broke it and this version is even better, all the features are amazing and allows you to make really great pictures faster with the pre features, it s a perfect in between.
Great image quality, but a bit rough around the edges

Summary: All in all, this is a handy and well-rounded addition for EOS shooters. The image quality of this camera is amazing! Even in ISO 2000-4000 there is little grain. In higher ISO grain is reduced by washing out details which can be a bummer if the image contains fine structures.
Summary: I had a G11, which had a very similar style, settings, buttons making it is a very easy to use this camera. The pictures and video quality are excellent, and although the picture comes out clear, sometimes the screen looks blurry. I also preferred my G11's screen, which popped out and swiveled.
