Excerpt: Not going to even touch the available features there are so many, but can say that nice functions like the camera taking multiple pics when using the timer function are tons of fun for us. Quality of pictures is also wonderful. Lots of functionality in a small package, easy to travel with.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact

Summary: I bought this one after my G11 conked out. Overall, great little camera but I'm disappointed in some of the changes Canon has made to this version. First, getting rid of the flip screen was a step backwards; I miss the ability to see the screen when I have the camera raised overhead, or down low to the ground. They've removed the ISO dial at the top and instead, you have to push a button and use the scroll wheel to change the ISO.
Excerpt: I bought this for the large aperture. It works great for low light situations and takes great pictures without having to use the flash. The shutter speed is great. It is a quiet camera. The display on the manual mode is excellent. It tells me if I have too much or too little light.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light
Excerpt: Having owned large Canon SLRs for many years, I have been making the shift to smaller, lighter cameras that are easy to travel with. I purchased this camera for hiking and hunting. It has a very rugged feel to it. Picture quality is excellent and you have all of the manual controls you could want. My only criticism is that the design of the camera does not permit you to attach a UV filter to protect the lens.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
