Excerpt: As a happy user of the Canon Powershot G10, I was really looking forward to the G16 based upon faster lens, faster autofocus and better low light. I am not happy that the heavy duty build quality of the G10 has been lost to a lighter plastic build on the G16.
Pros: Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
Cons: Build Quality Than G10, Less Intuitive Than G10, Not As Easy To Use
Summary: The camera is wonderful, but the reason I gave it 3 star is because i think there are better kits out there. The lenses are silly, they go on this cylindrical thing that makes you have to almost use full optical zoom not to see the cylinder itself on the picture.
Excerpt: I had purchased this to upgrade from my G12 and it does have the new processor and almost the same software, but I should have saved my money. The screen is fixed and the camera does not have the the same feel as the G12.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Small / Compact
Excerpt: I bought this camera in June after being a long time Canon user with both film and digital products. After using it for 30 days I fell in love with it. The resolution and clarity were amazing and it's low light capabilities were great.
Pros: Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light
Excerpt: As a proffesional photographer, I bought the G16 as a compact camera that would allow me to have all the manual control I like. The fact that the lens retracts is a big space saver when fitting it into a pocket or the wifes purse.
Excerpt: Bought this camera as a complement to my SLR based on feature set and noticed the following: Pros: Practically no shutter lag AF works well on first image and in low light Good control over AF zones Large aperture - good in low light Battery lasts reasonably long Good image quality despite moderate...
Pros: Fast Shutter Speed, Good Battery Life, Good in Low Light, Large Clear LCD
