Sufficient Point and Shoot

CTNYC, B&H Photo
6 January 2016
  • Excerpt: Tried this out and returned it. Images were fine for a compact point and shoot but didn't love the handling and overall performance. The lens protector is also way too flimsy.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Great Zoom, Small / Compact
  • Cons: Poor Image Quality

Great photos but missing things and feels cheap!

Chris, B&H Photo
27 October 2015

  • Pros: Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good in Low Light, Short Lag Time
  • Cons: Heavy, Large, Poor auto focus

Viewfinder Limited & Menu Tedious

Kelsey Haze, B&H Photo
19 April 2015
  • Excerpt: I got this camera a week ago so I have very limited experience taking photos with it. One of the main reasons that I bought it was that it was a point and shoot with a viewfinder. I immediately discovered that the viewfinder is very limited. Here's why: 1.

G16 Sensor Issues like the G12?

Fire Mike, B&H Photo
23 July 2014
  • Excerpt: I purchased my G16 in April 2014 and after using it several times, discovered I was having the same issues my G12 had, exposures that turned out completely white or under exposed images even though the flash functioned. I sent the camera back for warranty repair and hope that solves the problem.

1 Week Wonder

biginabox, Canon
24 April 2014
  • Excerpt: Within a week of opening the box, my Powershot (G16) failed, again. because of its fragile lens construction. My former G10 succumbed to 'lens error' after 3 years, the G16, which is noticeable flimsier, lasted a week of light use, handling with kid gloves. Also, the battery life is much shorter.
  • Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
  • Cons: Short battery life, Flimsy Construction, excess heat during moderate use, over mechanised

Not a good deal

fabiopenna, shopping.com
20 January 2014
  • Excerpt: The price and quality don't match on this one. You can have better images for almost the same price. Choose a DSLR camera with 18MP and you will a true photography experience.
  • Pros: Vintage design
  • Cons: Price Only 12.1MP

Very nice package. But I do not like the camera

7Sox, Amazon
21 December 2013
  • Summary: Very nice package. But I do not like the camera. Rear screen washes out when camera is held on the vertical. Camera is also hard to hold. Nice pictures but viewfinder is not accurate. I would not buy this camera again.

I would not recommend this. Just purchase the camera and separately purchase ...

Leslie Edwards, Amazon
20 December 2013
  • Summary: This kit has a case that is HUGE; it can fit 2 cameras inside it. Some of the accessories included already come with the camera, so you are paying extra. I would not recommend this. Just purchase the camera and separately purchase a case that fits.
