Not my favorite

JR, B&H Photo
15 October 2013
  • Excerpt: Features are poorly placed, i.e. I keep hitting the zoom control when I am reaching for the front dial - happens all the time. Picture quality is OK, nothing special. The viewfinder is useless - poor quality and small focal point. Cannot see the meter when looking through the viewfinder. How is this helpful? Too expensive for what it is.
  • Pros: Can Shoot Raw, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
  • Cons: Adjustments Poorly Placed, Features Poorly Placed, Limited Zoom, Poor Flash, Poor Image Stabilization, Poor viewfinder, Short Battery Life

Serious G15 bugs

ztmcam, Canon
24 July 2013
  • Conclusion: I bought this camera about a month before I went on a vacation. I tried it out on a variety of everyday situations, and it seemed to work reasonably well, although the viewfinder turned out to be even more worthless then mentioned in other reviews. The wide angle was less wide than my previous camera, but I thought it would be OK for most pictures.
  • Pros: good battery life, Lightweight/Portable
  • Cons: Poor image quality, Difficult to use

Good camera but bad construction

A. Hurden, Amazon
31 March 2014
  • Summary: As a camera, this is a good piece of kit. It has the optical viewfinder that is a delight to use (ignoring occasional intrusion of the lens) and the image quality is all you would expect. It performs very well, is easy to carry and use, and has a good battery life. However, I had it in my jacket pocket and removed it to take a picture.

great while it lasted-

  • Summary: Bought this camera as a replacement for my canon s95 which i have been very happy with. i am not a professional photographer by any means and portability, ease of use, with image quality come top of my list of requirements. The camera is just about pocketable, feels nice and robust. The controls are virtually the same as any other canon camera so its easy to get started.

Canon Powershot G 15

Fototante, Amazon
28 December 2013

Mein Eindruck: 1. Prima Verarbeitung 2. Geniales Objektiv (Lichtstärke, Bildstabilisierer, Brennweite) 3. Schnellerer Autofocus und Auslösung als bei der G11 4. Super Ausstattung (HiSpeed-Aufnahmen usw.) 5. Akku hält lang genug 6.
