Summary: I know no one likes to hear a less-than-stellar review, but I have to be honest about this camera. It's a good camera, and as long as there is plenty of light, it takes dSLR quality photos. However, it seems anything over ISO 400 is objectionably noisy.
Summary: Because of the build quality and the sluggish controls, I’m left just a bit disappointed. If I could return it, I probably would. I would probably be satisfied had I only paid $400 for this camera. Despite this, I will still enjoy the nice images that can be produced using this camera.
Pros: The good… The camera produces very nice images that I have no doubt will allow printing up to 12”x18” at near the quality of my D300. The images at ISO 100 and 200 are very clean, and ISO 400 is completely usable. The lens has a little bit of distortion (mainly at the wide end), but it is very sh...
Cons: The bad… My main gripe has to do with the build quality and the price. The build quality is definitely nice, but it doesn’t feel as nice as what a $500 compact should provide. It really should have an all metal body in this price range (only the front plate is metal). Also, some of the dials feel...
Summary: Although this is a good camera we are having problems with it in terms of pictures not being "straight". We think the reason is that the pull out screen (which is useful for taking shots "above the head" as it tilts) tends to make the camera lean to the left very slightly when a picture is taken and...
Excerpt: My previous camera was a lovely little Nikon Coolpix but I think I got sand in the lens as it had a lens malfunction and as yet we have not taken it to be fixed. My husband has a work camera that he has sole use of and has at home so before Christmas he gave it to me to use until we get around to...
Feel like a professional photographer with this little beast!

Excerpt: Introduction First of all the Canon PowerShot G12 is an amazing camera. There is no disputing that. However is it the right camera for you? This review will hopefully help you decide if it is the right one for you. It has amazing features and is used by upcoming professionals, as well as hobbyists.
Pros: Exceptional Quality, Extensive Range of Features, Great Value for Money, Easy to use .
Summary: The difference from the G10 is very noticeable, first bought it because of the 720p video, which the G10 lacks, but the software and capturing modes also evolved. Although it has the HD video capture, I was extremely disappointed with the lack of autofocus during the recording, which, in my opinion,...
First impression impresses, now second and third impression too

Summary: This is the first Canon product I have bought for more than ten years. (I've spent thousands on Nikon and Epson in the meantime). Canon upset me with their unfriendliness, lack of after sales service and by insisting on charging me just to ask a question on the phone.
Summary: Verdict says: expensive so get entry level dSLR. NO! Because it would not be small and it wouldn't have a swivel screen. dSLR's get left at home because they are unwieldy and lumber you with a huge should bag.
Pros: Hi quality Canon lens AND swivel screen for macro use, etc.
Cons: Design slightly nerdish. Heavy for size. Ideal zoom is 24mm-180mm EQV.
Ottima la macchina ma pessimo il kit per ricaricare
2 December 2014
Summary: La macchina è ottima, la consegna puntuale.
