Summary: Excellent screen protector and far superior to 'film' screen protector products. There are really no instructions specific to installation on a Canon G11/G12 and as previous reviewers have noted, the glass may break if the screen protector is installed incorrectly and the screen rotated or closed.
Summary: The main two reasons I chose this camera is for its portability and the viewfinder..It takes great pictures ,but its very complicated. The manual is over 200 pages long, how can anyone remember all the different settings? its impossible...I leave mine in auto mode all the time that way I don't to mess around with all the settings...
Summary: It is very great! I don't want to carry the DSLR with me all the time since those are a bit heavy and not convinent. However, G12 can be a substitution for DSLR because its good quality on picture and it is light to carry when you visit some places.
Summary: I loooove it sooo much!!! It takes great pictures!! I have a 550D, its too heavy to carry around. so i decided to get a lighter camera, but took same quality pictures. Then my friend recommend G12 to me. Now I absolutely loove it! thanks!
Excerpt: My initial feeling about getting the G12 over a DSLR was one of 'settling' for a compact. When I came across one at Bestbuy for $379 in a recent trip to Michigan (new, unopened!), I couldn't resist so I pulled the trigger. It did not disappoint. DSLR-like controls and image quality that surpassed my expectations. An absolute no-brainer at this price point.
Excerpt: We went camera shopping for a new camera for the wife this weekend. After doing much research online I was able to narrow it down to the Canon g12 and the Nikon P7000. Needless to say we went with the Canon as they are nearly the same camera but since I already have a Canon we decided to keep it in the family. One thing I was surprised at how small the camera is. It is hard to judge the size online and we went to Best Buy to get a better look at it.
Excerpt: I purchased this camera for $379.00. I had to buy a smart card because it only came with a 16 meg card and a camera bag for a total of $421.00. BestBuy didn't mention insurance and I did not buy any insurance. After using the camera for 8 days, I was taking some pictures in the rain and I clicked the snapshot button and I heard a pop. I saw what looked like a leaf on the viewer screen. I couldn't see or take any more pictures.
Pros: I love this camera. Lots of pro-level control, small enough to carry with me always. I agree with the many people who rank this one highly. That's why I bought it. Except for the fatal flaw, noted below.
Cons: The lens cover blades scratch the lens. Incredible, but true. I compare with every G10, G11, and G12 owner I meet, and scratches such as mine are common. Canon, how can you do this, and not acknowledge it?
