The Canon PowerShot G12 is a digital premium compact camera that features a 2.8-inch tilt and swivel LCD. This model forms part of the multi award-winning PowerShot G-series of cameras. Released in 2010, this camera happens to be the successor to the popular PowerShot G11. It bears several of its features while at the same time; there are several that have been newly added to the PowerShot G12. Some of the new features include an EOS-style front control dial, Hybrid IS for close-up work, and the possibility of 720p HD video recording. The camera allows for multi-aspect ratio shooting. It has SDXC card compatibility. It is equipped with a 28-140mm equivalent lens. It features manual control and RAW shooting. The PowerShot G12 comes with the best flexibility and an all-round powerful performance. It comes ready with a professional level of control and it has support for a wide range of accessories. The Canon PowerShot G12 is compatible to be used with a new optional Lens Filter Adapter. It comes with a new Front Dial. Featuring a high-sensitivity 10.0 Megapixel CCD sensor, the PowerShot G12 is powered by a high-performance DIGIC 4 processor.

The Canon PowerShot G12 premium compact comes with an interesting range of features for photographers. This camera comes with several features that are similar to the ones found on the PowerShot G11. There are several new features as well and that includes Canon’s HS System, 720p HD movie recording and Hybrid IS. There’s a 2.8-inch tilt and swivel LCD that is featured on this camera. There’s a new Front Dial on this camera that helps to provide an improved handling and swift manual control. The Canon PowerShot G12 can be used with a new optional Lens Filter Adapter, which helps to extend with the lens when using the camera zoom to offer a wider range. It measures 112 x 76 x 48 mm and weighs 401g.
