Summary: Yet another awesome camera in the Canon "G" series. I bought this one as an up grade from my Canon G9. Canon tweaked this camera out. One of my most used and fav features is the fact that the view screen can be rotated 180* I use this ALOT as I find my self shooting tons of picts that are up at an...
Summary: I find this to be my go-to camera for casual daytrips. It is a bit too slow to catch those "magic moments" with grandkids or whale watching, etc. I would now go for the latest version, the G-15.
Summary: I had a digital Pentax ,pretty much alike , it was stolen and I moved to Canon every function works great I have it for some years and am very happy ,don't miss my Nikons HP,f2a,f2as,..... Excelent ,CANON !!!!
Summary: nearing 10,000 photos shot with my G11. Still love it though upgrading to Sony Nex-5. Very feature rich. Fits in large pocket which is a must for me. Only 5X zoom. Battery life is excellent. Not sure why i ever got a spare batt. Wish the sensor was bigger, but then don't we all.
Excerpt: I owned a G5 prior to getting the G11. I waited until the articulating screen came back before I upgraded. I find the G11 takes wonderful pictures. It is a good companion for me to my 5D MkII when I just want to casually capture images on the go of family, street, scenery, ... etc.
Summary: This is the Royalty of Canon point and shoot cameras. The G series is a very capable "travel" camera when you don't want to haul around the SLR and lenses or want the "anonymity" that a small camera allows.
Summary: Love the size and the many hardware dials. The sensitivity in low light is terrific. The pictures are not bad for a camera with a sensor this small (and it is a small sensor). Many people opt for the S90 (& S95), as that line is closely related in internal hardware, but is smaller and with a...
