Summary: The G10 while an older model from Canon is a great on the go camera with amazing picture quality. Slide on the neck strap and your ready for some on the go fun, save those memories. The G10 can be found used at bargain prices on Ebay. If you can't afford the newer G15 go with the Canon G10 and you will be glad you did. A professional quality camera the G10 will get the job done right the first time.
Summary: I can tell that this camera has great potential but it is not for the average photo taker. You really have to know how to use the features in order to get a clear shot. If you don't know about things like shutter speed, apeture, iso, etc., you are going to produce nothing but blurry pictures.
Summary: This is by far the best point and shoot camera i've ever owned. i love it for what i need. it's no DSLR, but its great for basic and not so basic stuff. it has a great shape to it, sort of hefty, but no big deal. great fat battery too.
Excerpt: So my husband is a professional photographer and I wanted a camera of my own to use around the house and at parks and so forth when he isn't with us. I have no desire to lug around one of his big digital SLRs (and I honestly am not comfortable using it). So when we were shopping around for a point and shoot I had two criteria, 1. That it took decent pictures. 2. that it could shoot video. My husband had a lot of other criteria since he knows cameras so well.
Excerpt: Canon's G series have always been a hit, generation after another they find ways to improve them and the G10 continues that upward trend. It offers a fix wide angle lens and a usable optical zoom. It's higher pixels allows for stronger images when you have to use the digital zoom. The G10 also gives you very usable and powerful manual mode options. The build quality is unsurpassed, as it's built like a tank.

Excerpt: This camera is the best point and shoot camera I have ever owned. It is easy to use. It has a great lens. it is almost 15 megapixels. It takes SD cards, just like every other piece of electronics i own. It is solidly built. This camera has taken a lot of abuse. It has a great zoom. It can be fully automatic, fully manual, and everything in between. It has a hot shoe for an off the camera flash if you want it. I bought this camera to replace the Canon PowerShot...

Excerpt: I was a very early buyer of the Canon G-10, and have been very impressed with it from the first day I used it. I own two Canon digital SLRs which I do still use when the subjects are difficult or demanding in some way, but for my day to day exploring and hiking, I love just carrying this camera instead of lugging a ton of gear all of the time. I do still keep the SLRs and their array of lenses at hand when travelling by car with unlimited space available for packing...
Excerpt: I love my Canon G10 Digital Camera. It looks beautiful and professional with its old retro black style. I am an architecture major college student and I have to take beautiful and high quality photos for my portfolios. I love this camera because it is so easy to use. Sometimes it takes a little while to get in focus, but it starts up and respondes very quickly. Now is is bigger than the previious G9 model, but worth the extra bulk.
Canon G10 does most of what I need it to- but hard for amatures

Excerpt: I used to have the Canon S80 and loved it, but the zoom lens somehow got jammed and dons't work anymore. I would have baught another S80, but they didn't have one at the store (maybe discontinued). The G10 seemed to fit my needs. It isn't as user friendly as the S80. I am still trying to learn what settings to use for which pictures. Some of my pictures blur, which is frustrating, but that seems to mostly happen in low light. If it is daylight, or I am using the...
