Excerpt: I've shot many weddings and have a canon 5d MK2 and some fine L glass. I'm for the most part, retired now but the wife and I take a yearly cruise with the family and I always drag the wedding camera and lens with me for some great memories.
Excerpt: Very good pictures. Have used TV, AP, Auto - all work as you would expect. A bit of a pain to put on electronic viewfinder - not from a difficulty standpoint but simply because you have to stop and do it. Wish I would have waited for the G5X.
Excerpt: Needed a new camera on short notice, current one I owned failed.
Did research as well as consulted Consumer Reports who gave high marks but had a lesser model as a first choice.
I opted for this camera and am glad I did. Camera arrived 3 days before I took a 3 week trip to Alaska.
Excerpt: Previously only owned DSLRs and I wanted an advanced point and shoot to carry easily on vacations for easy schlepping and this only came close to my requirements. Not a pocket camera if you are looking for one but definitely a small one but quite heavy. Great pictures both outside and inside.
Excerpt: i believe i will have to second everyone's positive opinions and praises about this camera. i'm no expert photographer, but as a person fairly experienced with electronics, i know a darn good product when i see one. and this is just that.
Excerpt: I got this camera to take on a trip overseas; I wanted something relatively small, portable, with no extra lenses that would require me to carry around a big kit. This fit the bill. And it then some.
Excerpt: Bought on the recommendation of a friend. Takes great shots with little effort. The camera chooses the settings for you most of the time perfectly. Easier to carry around than my DSLR. Get the Viewfinder. A little disappointed in battery life, but a lot is going on electronically.
