Summary: I had a PowerShot many years ago, back in the "film days", and loved. I have another digitial Canon as well, so I know quality when I continue to purchase it time after time after time.......Love Canon products!
Summary: My last camera finally died on me and I wasn't sure what to buy because there are so many choices out there. I just did a lot of research and found that this seemed to be the camera for me. They have a great reputation and it's very easy to use. I'm sure I will have many years of use with this camera.
Summary: After checking the reviews and ratings I ordered this for my daughter who loves a separate camera for her pictures instead of just here Nexus 5 cell phone. She loves it and me and my son who do professional camera work are very impressed. Would buy again.
Summary: After learning all the ends and outs of the menu system, which can be rather daunting, I am very happy with this camera. You may have read some scathing reviews about the total on-screen menu system and it is a bear work through, but like anything else once you've made it past the curve it becomes second nature.
Summary: You can't beat the size, weight and picture quality of this amazing camera. My iPhone is always with me, so I always have a camera available, but the quality of the shots doesn't begin to compare with the ELPH. For travel, hiking, mountain climbing, outdoor shots or family events, it just does everything very well. And it fits in your shirt pocket. This is my second ELPH. I bought my first one five years ago for a trip to Italy.
Summary: I did without a camera for about a decade. My previous camera was a Poloroid Spectra, about the best instant gratification one could get in the 1990's. Not only does this camera show the current image on the 3.2" LCD, it has a touch screen as well. I have been using the camera for photos and video for five months now, and am getting excellent results. The included software though, stops at photos and offers little video support.
