Wish I could give it more stars.....
5 July 2014
Summary: I love this camera, but unfortunately I can only give it 3 stars. I purchased the camera in April of 2013 and have had way too many problems with it - I have had to send the camera in three times now for repair. I have had issues with the zoom lens sticking, the screen pixilating, the camera not turning on, etc. Luckily, the repairs were all covered by warranty; however, I'm not looking forward to the day I have to send it back in and its not covered.
Summary: It's a pity but after several attempts, a few emails and then being handed off to tech support and a phone connection, the camera (or the laptop or Maverick) will not allow a Wi-Fi conniption from the camera to the computer. I CAN connect directly via a USB cable: The CameraWindow pops up and there are the photos that I can then transfer to the computer. I can also connect directly from the camera to my iPhone.
Summary: Camera is small, pictures are good, WiFi makes it easier to transfer pictures from the camera to my Android phone (using a Canon app available free on Googel Play). One problem I have with this camera is that the battery is small and does not last long, especially when using WiFi. The other problem is that it does not print directly to our Cannon Selphy CP900 4x6 printer so I first need to copy the image to my phone (using wifi) and then print it from the phone (again,...
Summary: Camera is nice overall with you expected on Canon. But the battery does not last long at all, even without using wifi. I went out for a couple hours and it is out. It is really not realistic at all if it can not even last for a day.
Summary: The camera itself is lovely. However, the digital camera solution disk is not readable in my Mac. So I have no access to the manual and I am not sure about downloading images. Haven't found a solution on the Canon website, but I will keep looking. What a pain.
Summary: I really wanted to buy this. And finally I bought this. I was happy. However I tried to connect my computer, I figured out it's not new one. Because there was some others name input there. The name is "tobi". Hum... I don't know who is tobi and what is "tobi's mac book"... Is it usually happened??? The box is new one. But I can't belive it is newone. It seems newone. But I think someone used and retured and they resaled... now, it's over 30days.
Summary: The quality of the photos is pretty good, comparable to other canon powershots, but there were a lot of things that I didn't like. The shutter cover doesnt look like it will protect the lens so I worry for its safety. The camera did not come with a memory card, and has no internal memory, so you have to provide a microsd. I selected this camera for its wifi capabilities but I have not been able to get it to work.
