Like the case. The touch screen and image compression needs work

Summary: I like having a point-and-shoot camera on hand because I find my phone doesn't really replace a real camera. I've had previous versions of PowerShot cameras and, when my last died, I researched around and this camera looked and ideal replacement. Sadly, I returned the camera after a week of testing. I love the chassis. It is small and easy to carry while packing the great optics and the large rear screen.
Summary: The camera itself is sturdy and looks nice. Big nice screen but the touch control is not great. Needs buttons cause I had to use my nail to change some settings because the arrows etc.. were tiny. But what counts the most in any camera, is the image quality. Well, the quality is BAD. Picture showed in full size are washed out. Not little, but 99% of it. Truthfully, my Samsung Galaxy S3 cell takes better pictures. If you are developing 4x6 photos, it will look decent.
Summary: Good resolution, good image but I can not connect over Wi-Fi to download photos directly to Facebook and the battery runs out very quickly. Maybe someone can be useful without WI.FI without it works fine.
Summary: Before writing my review, I re-read the existing evaluations of the 530 HS. The opening paragraph written by "ceobob" could have been typed by me! The main reason for this purchase was the Wi-Fi.....What a headache! The camera takes O.K. photos but the Wi-Fi is next to impossible to set up, I couldnt even get it to work with my I-Phone. Not being a fan of the touch screen, I did overloked that quandary in favor of the Wi-Fi.
Summary: I like the camera but I'm disappointed with the battery life and the fact that I can't get the wifi to work. The wifi is what sold me on the camera so I'm disappointed that it's not working. The touchscreen is touchy for sure. The pictures turn out great and I like the style of the camera. It fits great in my back pocket if I'm on the go. I was one of the first to buy the camera after it's release date and I should have waited for the reviews to come out on it.
Summary: All the bad reviews for this camera are pretty much spot on. The touch screen is horrible. So is the battery life. The wifi part of it is kind of difficult to get working. I did get it working with my iphone. I couldn't get any of the other wireless options working though. The picture quality was not bad.
