Summary: This camera is ok. The touch screen is junk and almost impossible to make it work. I need to have moist fingers to help stuff move on the screen. My SLR got old and I bought this camera thinking it would be easier to upload pictures with WiFi capabilities that was promoted with this camera. I was unable to log into facebook and share my pictures that are not that good in focus quality because of junky touch screen.
Summary: While I do like this camera's low light capability, the microphones distort horribly when shooting video. As I wanted a pocket camera to record local shows, this was a significant drawback, one my previous camera (an under $100 Nikon Coolpix) did not have. Though this camera provides much better image quality, the terrible sound on recordings rendered all the videos useless.
Summary: The digital camera with wi-fi, buy it 06 months ago, however since I started using the camera function not working wi-fi could not connect wirelessly to my home network, so I could not send from the my camera, photos to any social network, thought it was a configuration problem but when check with people who had already purchased the same product they said they had not had such a problem.
Summary: I had the older version of this Canon ELPH and I damaged it. I thought this one would work the same, with the added feature of being able to access WIFI. Its a much different camera. I don't like it. There is a really long lag time as the camera records the picture to the memory card. By the time it finishes you've missed what it going on around you! The setting are much more complicated and I do not like the touch screen.
Conclusion: We have been users of Canon Cameras for years - this is the first camera that we have had to call a true disaster. The Touch screen controls are constantly getting in the way of just point and click. Priority is given to the touch screen rather than the top shutter button. This is with the touch screen to shoot mode disabled. The camera is constantly trying to re-focus with every casual brush while handling to take the real shot.
Cons: Difficult to use, Short battery life, touch screen interferes with function
Summary: I used the camera for 2 days. It takes great pictures, including indoors. The one I got has issues with the movies sound: a hiss like strong wind or roaring water over the normal sound. And the sound is recorded uneven.
Summary: Unbelievable. It just died on me the day after my Amazon warranty expired. But I called Canon, sent it back to them, and they replaced it with a brand new one though that whole process took more than a month.
So far so good, will check back in about a month to make sure of quality

Summary: REVIEW EDIT: May 26th, 2013 I HAD TO RETURN THE CAMERA BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE. VERY DISAPPOINTING BUT THE RETURN WAS NOT AN ISSUE. REFUNDED ALL MY MONEY INCLUDING SHIPPING WHICH WAS NICE. NO MATTER WHAT I TRIED, EVEN BOUGHT ANOTHER BATTERY, THE CAMERA HELD A CHARGE FOR 2 HOURS AT BEST. SO KEEP A FEW BATTERIES WITH YOU IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY AND KEEP THIS MODEL.
