Great Little Camera
Conclusion: I've had this camera for about a month now. I bought the red one !!!! Really enjoying it ! Nice crisp , clear photos, the enclosed software CD is valuable - the editing software is fun and easy to use. Very easy to download photos from camera to computer. This is the first camera I've had that had such a good zoom feature, works easily ! I love the fact that it works beautifully on AUTO without having to change things, unless you really want to.
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Summary: I purchased this camera because of its WiFi transfer capabilities. If this is your main reason for buying this camera, read no further and find another camera. You can keep reading to learn why. First let me say that I am very tech savvy. I read manuals regardless even if I think it's an easy enough item to set up. I charged the battery up first, then installed it along with the SD card. I took a few photos. I registered with Canon and set up a user ID and password.
Summary: I purchased this Canon to replace an older one. I wanted more zoom and this one fits that request perfectly. It allows me to leave my heavier longer-range-zoom camera behind on many trips I make to take photographs. I am a creative writer/instructor and have recommended this camera to students for the ease to carry, the nice zoom range, and the Canon name.
Conclusion: Our company has 5 of the ELPH 130 IS cameras in service now for about two years and we love them. I'm writing this review because I just ordered two more. I agree that the instruction book is a mess and the "Menu" could use some simplification......but I still have to give the camera a 5 rating overall.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use, my new one is red...everyone else has ugly gray.
Summary: My boyfriend and I have been setting up this camera for hours and we're still not done. You have to install software, register the camera, register for an account on their website, download updated software (because the original software they provided is outdated). It is truly as un-user-friendly as it could possibly be. The camera better be awesome to make up for this hassle. So far I'm beyond disappointed in the product.
Love it and the guy who stole it loves it too... I guess
M. Siewierska, Amazon

Summary: My old Canon died a few weeks ago. I wasn't really sure which camera to buy but Amazon is usually the first place I start to look for things. So I ordered this camera and the delivery was on time but the camera was missing from the box. Instead, there was an old silver Canon PowerShot Elph 1000IS 7.1 MP inside ( about 6 year- old model ?) Apparently somebody switched it for a new one and I was the unlucky customer.
