I feel bad...
4 January 2015
Summary: I'm a camera junky/snob and own some big guns (like a 5k Canon lens and very expensive prof. video stuff) - OK, having said all that to impress you and make you think I know more than I do, I will say this little camera really blew me away in its quality and ease of use. So now I feel kind of bad/stupid for spending all my money on high-end equipment. Oh well, such is life.
Summary: I bought this camera to use on vacations and at concerts. I wanted something that took good quality pictures and video and it was also important to me that the sound quality was good, as I wanted to be able to go back at look at concert videos between shows. The camera has lived up to all of my expectations! For the price, you really can't ask for anything more and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
Summary: I don't have a camera phone and I love to take pictures of my dogs and grandkids. Had an older Canon that I loved even though it was bigger and heavier than this one. It stopped working and I wanted to stay with the brand. I wanted something easy to use and this one is. For a small camera (it only weighs four ounces) it has a lot of options and a large viewing screen. it takes movies and has a button dedicated making it easier to switch from stills to the action.
The camera is lightweight and easily fit in my pocket

Summary: I recently took this with me on a trip to Peru and the pictures came out very well. The camera is lightweight and easily fit in my pocket. I can sync pictures to my iphone through wifi fairly easily with the cannon app. The online cloud is a nightmare to set up and requires you to login in a bunch of different places so I gave up on that. Overall, I would recommend this camera if you want something small and simple.
Summary: This is literally the first time I have ever written a review for anything but I was so disappointed with this camera I couldn't let anyone make the same mistake of buying it. All I wanted this camera for was casual snapshots during travel but the picture quality is abysmal. Especially in low lighting the pictures are just grainy and the colors are all very flat. I found my friends were shooting better pictures on their iPhones...
Conclusion: I was on vacation but hadn't used my camera in awhile. I hadn't deleted my previous trip's pictures, 167, and wanted to start fresh but I could only see how to delete one at a time. "There has to be a way!" I did not have my computer with the downloaded info so I went to the Canon site for my ELPH 130is: "there are no online manuals for this product", I was told! Absolutely helpless as how to refresh my usage knowledge. VERY inconvenient and frustrating.
Summary: it's good for the price. Takes crisp pictures and has lots of functions for a great price. the battery is really bad though. if you plan on taking a lot of pics on a particular day, you will want at least one backup battery. i found that the battery will only last 4-6 hours based on my usage while on vacation. the backup i got wasn't any better. it's really too bad Canon cameras can't charge the battery by plugging it into an external battery or some other usb charger.

Summary: Description says it connects to wifi and social media. It does not without a paid subscription to an archaic canon tool. Also is not user friendly at all. One positive thing is that it records video with the push of one button.
Summary: Great little camera. It fits in your pocket. It is very easy to use. No complicated settings. What I really like is the quality of the pictures. Our last camera was a canon. OK camera, but the color was always off. This one is much better.
