Great little camera
Summary: Love this camera. It takes great pictures and is small so it fits right in my purse. I love the idea that I do not have to buy batteries,(yes, the last digital I had used batteries). The zoom is pretty good. Now if you are looking for pictures that professionals take, you will not like this camera but for everyday photography, it's great.
Summary: I am a professional photographer and I wanted my wife to have a versatile, all purpose camera she could use to take high quality photos without having to lug around a lot of heavy, high dollar gear. We have owned the last 3 models of this popular little powershot and I can say without reservation this is the finest yet! It is compact, VERY easy to use and truly surprised me with it's powerful performance.
Summary: Excellent pocket camera. What I like about this one: 1. the blue color, 2. the small size - truly pocketable 3. the smaller than other pocket cameras' aperture (this one goes down to f/2.7 at the widest setting, 4. the many customizable settings (including metering - you can set matrix, spot or center metering) 5. or you can put on auto for quick point and shoot and auto works pretty well in most circumstances 6. nice, sharp image clarity 7.
Summary: I received this camera for Christmas. One day I went to use the camera and the shutter button just fell off. I had the camera for 9 mos so it was still under warranty. I returned it to Cannon and upon receiving it they immediately sent me a bill for $119.00, the camera only cost $129.00. I called customer service and they said that since is not a usual type of repair it was not covered under warranty. Maybe it was faulty materials and or workmanship.
Summary: gave as a gift - recipient is very happy with it - clear photos, size makes it always available, chosen based on results a friend is always sending me from the same model of camera. Good price with complete package of necessary accessories.
Summary: I really like this little camera. I'm not a serious photographer and I have no idea how to use the advanced functions. I do point-and-shoot, and this camera, which replaced an older PowerShot that did not have image stabilization, takes better pictures. I'm very happy with it.
Summary: Great optics, but extremely slow shudder! Do not buy this if you want to capture a toddler... Or any othe living thing, for that matter. Maybe a tree sloth. Really, I've never had a slower shutter on a camera. Very shocking for one of this quality. The lenses and screen were good though. And it was intelligent with faces and scenes. Biggest bust?
Summary: I was looking for a good user friendly camera for first timer and I found it. It is so small and easy to use and came with a lot of extras. I love my powershot and would recommend and buy another higher grade camera in the future when I am ready. Packed and received in excellent condition.

Summary: I was looking for another digital camera to replace my "older" one which now is about ten years old. I based my decision on Consumer Reports reviews of this camera and decided that it would fill my needs. My only objection is when I tried to "thread" the hand "sling" through the place where it goes, it was very "frustrating". After many unsuccessful attempts, I finally succeeded. It did arrive well packed and in a timely manner.
