A Great Point and Shoot or Camcorder (it really is waterproof)
9 August 2014
Summary: We were taking our granddaughters to a water park so needed a waterproof camera asap. I found a display model at a box store for around $200.00. This thing takes fantastic underwater pictures and movies.
Identical to D30 but with greatly improved case and depth rating?

Summary: I own the D20 and love it! Good image quality (IQ) for a waterproof camera (Sorry, IQ really is relative as non-waterproof point-and-shoot (PNS) cameras at this price point have far better IQ).
Summary: Last month, my wife and I went to Maui for a second honeymoon trip. Our adventures included a fair amount of snorkeling, and we wanted to take underwater photos. In the past we used a Canon Elph 400 for this purpose, mounted in a Canon underwater housing.
Summary: I bought this camera on a cruise ship when both my digital camera AND my cell phone died on our first day at sea. I paid a little more, even duty-free, than it costs here, but I'm still happy.
Summary: This camera came with me to Fiji where I did 2 shark dives. The video/audio/pictures were amazing, just amazing. When I watch the video, it is literally like I am doing the dive again. Great camera for the price.
Summary: My husband and I were going to Hawaii for our Anniversary. I wanted AMAZING picures as I knew we would not be going back any time soon. I was debating on buying a big DSLR camera or one I could take under water. I am SO happy I went with this one.
Summary: Like in cons area batteries are a good idea. I purchased SDXC 64gb card for it also. Sandisk with speed rating of 10. The kit I mentioned can be found on newegg as well as the 64 gb card, and kit has a 16gb one too.
Pros: Basically everything it says on the specs. takes amazing pictures and video for the price of the camera. Waterproof, awesome.... and is small enogh to fit in pocket. takes pics like the high end cameras but doesnt cost 2k. Once you play around and get all those odd pics of random whatever that wa...
Cons: Battery life could be a issue if using max resolution which is just amazing with this camera. Pananoramic and vid recording will drain it pretty fast. I bought a kit just for this camera that came with another battery and a awesome tripod and monopod with case and stuff which works great with it....
Summary: I was in need of a freeze, shock, & water proof camera for my summer deployment to Antarctica. This is what I got, and have not regretted it. The HD video on it is stellar, editable, and simple. The photos are beautiful, and I've even had comments that they are better then some SLR's down here.
Summary: I have a family of 5 that includes a 3 year old that is rough on EVERYTHING! I previously owned the D10, until it was accidentally thrown away... I loved the D10, and the D20 is a nice upgrade. I've actually had a D20 stolen from me as well, so this is the 3rd Canon D Series I've owned.
Summary: This waterproof camera is a nice improvement from Canon's first waterproof digital camera a few years back. It has a wider-angle lens and a bigger display. It can also automatically focus when one zooms in and out while taking a video, something its predecessor (D10) couldn't do.
