Take the SD1200 Digital ELPH, wrap a rugged/water-tight design around it as its body, throw in a bit of cuteness, a few new functions and a big leap in ergonomics and what does it become? The Canon PowerShot D10, of course! The PowerShot D10 is a waterproof, freezeproof, shockproof, very solid digital camera; and it’s Canon’s first attempt at the rugged camera market as well. My first and foremost praise is regarding the camera’s design. Canon did an excellent job... Read more
The Canon PowerShot D10 is a 12.1 megapixel compact with a 3x optical zoom and 2.5in LCD panel designed for use in and around water and other environments that would be considered hazardous for ordinary compacts. It's waterproof to a depth of 10 metres, and dustproof and shockproof to a height of 1.22m. The most distinctive thing about the D10 and one of it's strengths, is its design and apearance. Slightly bigger than most compacts, with rounded edges,... Read more
The Canon PowerShot D10 is a tough camera. It can handle water down to 33 feet, be dropped from up to 6.6 feet and temperatures down to 14 degrees. And it does this without compromising image quality; we found that it took very sharp images with good color and accurate detail. Read more
As a digital camera, the D10 performs fine. As a waterproof, shockproof digital camera, it's very good. Is it the best waterproof, shockproof model out there right now? If I had to choose, I'd probably still go with the Panasonic TS1. However, the cuteness and simplicity of the D10 would make it a great choice for families heading out on vacation, especially if they'd like to hand off the camera to the kids every once in a while without worrying that it's going to get... I bought this camera for a cruise I was taking. When I got the camera, I took several shots, inside and outside and the quality of the pictures were great. Then I dunked it in a sink full of water, took a few shots and then took the camera out and THANKFULLY it still worked! I was more worried about dunking it than I thought I would be, but I wanted to make sure it was waterproof before my cruise. It was. The camera still took great pictures afterward. I love the color... Read more or see product
I absolutely love this camera. I bought it over the summer because my old camera died. I bought it mostly because my friends all have pools and I thought it would be fun to have pictures from goofing around in the pools. The pictures came out amazing and really clear underwater. The pictures come out really awesome when the camera isn't underwater. My only complaint is that sometimes the shutter is a bit slow, but besides that its amazing! Would recommend this to anyone. I love everything about this camera except for it's bulkiness. The quality is great! I just don't like carrying it around my wrist all the time. I'd consider getting a different one if I could find something comparable in quality but smaller in size. Read more
