Pros: Takes great pics, easy to use, tough, and it's waterproof. I like to canoe and was missing some chances to take photos because I'd have to dig my camera out of a waterproof bag to take a picture. No longer. It's macro ability is also good. I've gotten some very nice closeups of flowers and insects.
Cons: Bulkier than most point & shoots but I knew that before I bought it. Being waterproof and tough is more important to me.
Pros: I absolutly LOVE this camera. I origionaly bought it to use for snorkeling trips only for it's underwater capability but it turns out it takes better pictures than any of my other Canon cameras. Picture quality isn't quite as good as a nice DSLR, but it's exceptional for a point and shoot. I have...
Cons: The only con is that this camera is a little bit more bulky than most of Canon's non-watterproof cameras, but this is because the optical zoom needs to be inside the casing, and can't project out of it.
Summary: I am very happy with my purchase and have not had any problems. I would highly recommend it
Pros: Great overall camera. I've owned it over 2 years and have had no problems. I use it recreationally outdoors but have not gone below a couple of feet in the water. Lots of features and 12.1 megapixels. I am very happy with my purchase and have not had any problems.
Pros: Good quality camera. I have owned one for over two years and have yet to face any major issues.
Cons: It has trouble taking quality photos in very bright light, but this can often be fixed by using the program mode. The waterproof lining for the memory card and battery feels a bit unreliable. It's just a piece of rubber. I have not had any leakage but I am afraid to go diving with this camera.
Summary: Hope Newegg gets more in stock as would tell any want a camera to look at this one.
Pros: great camera has been dropped several times by sister-in-law and nieces and nephew still works like a charm. Haven't taken underwater yet but has had many days of rain and that alone was worth it. It even survived Bonnaroo 2011 with all the dust.
Cons: No Dust Filter but I'm trying hard to find something to complain about
Summary: Bought the camera over 1 year ago to use in our newly built pool. It has worked flawlessly and provided several great looking and surprisingly perfectly exposed pictures. Neighbors borrowed the camera to take some pictures snorkeling in the Florida Keys (Salt water) with good results.
Pros: Rugged, versatile, and underwater of course.
Summary: Great camera! Money well spent. Take care of rinsing it after using in salt water, and shake well into a towel to get the water out of the buttons. Be sure to keep the battery charged.
Pros: Takes great snapshots above water as long as you don't ask too much. Takes great photos underwater where the alternatives are cheap throw-aways or very expensive setups. Low light sensitivity very good, and IS helps take sharp pictures under water. Also, use the underwater setting for great color...
Cons: Zoom is adequate in most but not all situations. It was difficult to take photos of whales from a boat at 100 yards due to bright sun washing out the LCD, and the relatively short zoom. This is a pretty special case, though. Battery life somewhat shorter than expected.
Summary: So far no issues with it at all. Just make sure to rinse well with clean water after beach use to remove sand and salt. Clean all hatches (carefully) and openings immediately to remove any sand and salt. Do these things before attempting to open and download photos and you will have no problems.
Pros: Great underwater shots, Very good regular (Above-water) shots as well. Good camera for all uses on vacation. Easy to use. No problems with water seals if used correctly. Durable.
Cons: A bit big compared to other pocket cameras but knew that going in.
