Excerpt: I bought my Canon D10 last year for around USD 320 inclusive of an extra battery, an 8mb memory card, and other accessories. For me, it was already a good deal. I chose it because of the fact that it is both shockproof and waterproof which is …
Excerpt: This has been a great little knock about camera that I use for work. I climb towers for a living and it has been bouncing around in my shoulder bag to take technical shots with during repairs with no protection and it hasnt missed a beat.
Excerpt: The picture quality is quite good and I was happy with this camera until I used it for the first time under water. I only managed to take four pictures on a snorkel trip to Maui, nothing more than two feet deep. The screen turned dark and upon inspection I found the camera full of sea water.
Excerpt: I bought my D10 because I wanted a small rugged camera I could take on vacations instead of my bulky dSLR. The D10 seemed a good choice, as I had good experiences with Canon Powershot cameras before, and it had received good reviews here on dpreview.
Summary: Bought the camera over 1 year ago to use in our newly built pool. It has worked flawlessly and provided several great looking and surprisingly perfectly exposed pictures. Neighbors borrowed the camera to take some pictures snorkeling in the Florida Keys (Salt water) with good results.
Pros: Rugged, versatile, and underwater of course.
Summary: I bought this camera for a Great White Shark diving trip and I was SO DISAPPOINTED because it worked for about 30 minutes. I did not see evidence of moisture inside until the display seemed to have some condensation after a couple of days after sitting, unused.
Summary: Just got back from vacation with my new Canon D10. OMG, I love this thing. I couldn't live without it. Buy this and you'll love this camera, especially if you go to the beach with your camera. I recommend this model to everyone.
Summary: Ordered this camera for cruise trip so that kids can have fun. It works fine underwater, however the quality is bad. Use for one trip only at first 3 month, the camera stopped working and got lens error messenger. Sent back for warranty repair at my own costs and received "repaired" item back.
Summary: I am a huge Canon fan and have purchased many of their cameras in the past. I initially loved this camera. We were out on vacation when a huge thunderstorm came out of nowhere. No worries. The camera does take great pictures although it is a little bulky.
