Canon PowerShot A95

PC Magazine
23 July 2006
  • Conclusion: Replacing the PowerShot A80 in Canon's vast arsenal, the PowerShot A95 is a powerful 5MP compact camera and a good buy; point-and-shooters won't soon outgrow it, and it will also satisfy more advanced users.
  • Pros: Excellent image sharpness, colors, and bright exposure. Strong flash. Good battery life. Ability to store custom settings saves time.
  • Cons: Bulky and heavy. Very slight purple fringing in high-contrast areas. Lens angle could be a bit wider. Disappointing movie capabilities.

  • Summary: This model has a good set of features, but it suffers from mediocre image quality and its ridiculously large size. Give it a miss unless your other interests include bodybuilding.
  • Pros: Nice set of features, moveable LCD, great battery life
  • Cons: Huge, heavy, blurry image edges
