Excerpt: This camera was a present from my fiance... I loved it i never had a high quality digital camera before. I found it very easy to use,, it takes great pics indoors and out. It does need a little help when it comes to pictures that extremely up close and things to zoom on.... but for not being a "Proffesional Camera", it works great.
Excerpt: Very easy to use, produce very good image quality. The combination of 6 Megapixel and X6 Zoom is more than every armature photographer need. Many automatic modes to cover different lighting environments. Capture short video clips with sounds in high quality. Very reliable manufacturer, with good proved service history. Missing stabilization device. Images taken with the largest zoom are not best quality around.

Excerpt: the canon power shot sd770 is one of the best cameras i have ever used so far and it is not that pricey. this camera has helped me captured some of the best moment you know the ones that you can look back on an d remember w hat happened and you can laugh at. this camera has amazing features like making one color stand out from the rest it can be used when taking a picture of a flower to make the flower stand out or capture motions when you have it on sports mode.
Excerpt: This camera is so easy to use that I use it about fifty times more than I used to use my 35MM. In addition to all of the obvious digital camera features, it's light, easy to use and very user friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to get another if I needed one.
Summary: Pros: (1) Amazing 6x zoom lens. All other cameras have 4x or less. (2) Lots of different settings so it's good for beginners that don't know how to use a camera and just want to point and shoot all the way up to more advanced users. (3) Excellent video camera abilities. Can take lots of footage with nice, loud sound. (4) Nice big viewing screen. (5) Viewing window in addition to viewing screen. Great for sunny days.
Excerpt: Canon PowerShot A700 Digital Camera: Good, But I Want More I take pictures for both personal and professional use, and struggle with the need for portability versus taking the best possible pictures. In my search for a smaller camera that takes great pictures, I decided on the Canon PowerShot A700, for which I paid $350. I have now taken many thousands of pictures with the camera. Bottom line: The A700 is a better-than-average camera but not an excellent camera.
Summary: I really enjoy it. After a lot of research I have decided to buy it instead of others such as Minolta, Kodak and others. The only downside is the flash. I would love it if it took better pictures at night.
Summary: Overall, I really like my A700. I took the camera on a trip to Italy and was extremely pleased with the performance, shooting 95% on automatic. After spending considerable time researching available cameras, it replaced my Powershot S40, as I wanted to upgrade to the 6MP and the 6x zoom. I'm used to the Canon settings (having had the S40 and a Rebel), so that was a consideration.
