Excerpt: I got the Canon Powershot A630 for a bargain price of 200 dollars from my friend who intends to upgrade his camera to a Sony digital SLR camera. It is indeed a bargain price for me as the retail price stands at double of what I paid. The Canon Powershot …
Summary: Aye, this camera is great. I suppose I might be biased, this being my first digital, but I have used cameras borrowed from pals in the recent past, and didn't particularly enjoy them (which is why I wasn't too interested in a digi before). Quick startup is a big bonus.
Summary: My previous camera was a Samsung digimax--about 4MP, no optical zoom. It just stopped turning on one day(I had not dropped it or damaged it--just stopped). It's apparently a common problem with Samsung. This camera is amazing. It takes fantastic pictures.
Summary: Let me preface this by saying I come from the "old school" of photography. I've use good-quality film SLR cameras for years, and have always hated digitals because of all the cumbersome controls and lack of good manual control of the camera (yes, even on digital SLRs).
Summary: I think I looked at every camera on the Amazon site and figured out and compared each one to decide which one to buy. I finally decided that I needed a camera that used AA batteries and used a SD card. So then I started comparing the Canons and reading the reviews.
Summary: I absolutely love this camera. It is hands down the best digital camera I have ever owned. It is extremely easy to use. There are a so many options and settings. This camera can pretty much do anything that you could think of. Great camera for the price. I highly recommend it.
Summary: I ordered this camera based on a rating I received in Consumer Reports. I ordered the camera online and it only took a few days before I received it. The first time I used this camera, I was smitten by its performance. I've never owned a camera as nice or as fancy as this. I love it!
Summary: I purchase the Canon Power Shot A630 over the internet. I liked the features specially with the ability to flip the LCD fro protection from scratches. I liked that it used regular batteriies and not the expensive kind. Problem is I was only able to take a few pictures before the camera broke.
Pros: Looks good. Packages and advertised very well. Features when read will entice your impulse but beware my firend!
Cons: Many including the warranty repair services!
