Summary: I bought this used and it arrived sooner than expected. The camera is good for outdoor daylight pictures. The only drawback is for indoor pictures. The flash takes too long to get ready between pictures. This camera is discontinued but it serves my purposes just fine.
Summary: This camera is amazing. This camera is for everyone. Whether you are a pro photographer who spends hours setting up a single shot or you need something to slip into your purse when you hit the town, this camera does everything.
Pros: OS and button placement:, The entire camera set-up is great. All of the buttons are in just the right places and make perfect sense. Same goes for the menus in the camera. I can always find what I am looking for and what I want to change. The Mode Dial on the top gives me quick control over how I...
Cons: Direct Print button. What a waste of a button. No one I know uses it from point-and-shoots to DSLRs, this is the most pointless button on all Canon models., Otherwise, no complains., What I expect from a camera that the Powershot A590 does not provide:, -Does not defend against ninjas. In our mod...
Summary: This camera is very bulky and too large to really go into your pocket, but the quality of the photos, along with the price, make this a very good camera. It is very easy to use. I like the fact that it has a viewfinder and LCD screen. No redeye photos.
Summary: I have a degree in Fine Arts Photography and am used to working with high-end cameras. After thorough research, I bought the Canon A590 as a daily simple photo camera. This camera is loaded with practical features.

Excerpt: This is my review of the Canon Powershot A590IS, my awesome new camera! I start my video actually shooting with the camera, so you can see for yourself the great quality, as well as throw in a few pictures shot on the camera.
Pros: LOVE the quality of pictures and video, LOVE the reasonable price on this camera, LOVE that it takes AA batteries, so I can have some spares in my camera bag!
Cons: I do not like having the SD card in the same compartment as the batteries., It is alot smaller than the older powershot A-series, so is harder to grasp, Wish it had a flip open screen so I can see what I'm doing when I have to film myself!
