Excerpt: I hate spending a lot of digital cameras only for the simple fact that they go out of date so fast. I bought this one less than a year ago with the 7.1 mega pixels and now they have 10 mega pixels out. I loved that it took pictures really fast. There wasn't a delay and you got the picture you actually wanted. Now it is very slow and I most often than not miss my intended picture. It also eats batteries like crazy.
Excerpt: I have owned the Canon Powershot A470 camera for a little over a year now. I like that it is small and pretty compact. I actually carry it constantly in my diaper bag or purse. I especially like the large screen so that I can see the pictures better than on my previous smaller camera. It is easy to delete pictures, go back and view pictures, and zoom in. It did not take me long to learn how to use this camera.
Excerpt: I regularly use the Canon Power Shot point and shoot digital camera at work. Part of my job is to maintain the company’s intranet. One of the main regular features on the intranet are pictures of company events and employees. This has proven to be a sturdy camera providing quality pictures for this use. The 7. 1 mega pixels provides clear images for posting on the intranet, however, the image loses clarity when cropped too much.
Excerpt: The Canon Powershot A470 is a budget camera for casual photographers and non-professionals, like me. It has a 7 megapixels sensor and comes at a really affordable, and reasonable price. The price was of course the first impressions of this digital camera. This camera also has video recording, though I regret that it’s only capable of 20 fps VGA video recording. Still, the video grabbing is decent, except for fast moving shots.
Summary: I bought this camera for my daughter as her first camera and it has proved to be a good choice. I like the fact it runs on AAs (gives us a backup option if our other cameras run out of power with their proprietary batteries) and is not too small to handle in my big meat-hooks (small enough for a nine year old and big enough for me to use). It takes very decent pictures and even video (which my daughther like a lot).
Summary: I bought this camera for Christmas because of the price and the name Canon..so far I like it the pictures are clear the only weird thing is when you upload them to your pc you can see the pixels in some of the pictures...
