Conclusion: I have had this camera for less than a year and have had it break twice already. The first time the lens wouldn't come out and the second time it wouldn't flash or use any lighting at all so every picture turned out really dark. When the camera was working, it took good pictures and was nice to carry around. It had some good features too. But if it breaks, then they are useless.
Summary: I have owned Canon cameras before and they seem to be the best bang for my buck! Two months ago I replaced my Kodak with a Nikon, and I can say I will never, ever be buying a Nikon again. This camera is everything the Nikon wasn't, and an upgrade from my Kodak. It's easy to use, very fast, and I think the thing I'm most excited about is how clear pictures without the flash on turn out.
Summary: I bought to mainly take pictures of family and events. I had it for a year now and works very well. The pictures have great pixelation although sometimes it a takes 2 or 3 secs to focus while I am zooming. The battery lasts around 1.5 to 2 hrs with constant use. The video is also very good. It has plenty of features including the "all silent" in one option, very handy.
Summary: I have been using Kodak cameras for the past 7 yrs. and I finally gave up on them. their service after the sale has quickly declined these past few yrs. so for that reason I am dumping them. the canon power shot was recommended to me by a person that takes a large number pictures and he has had no trouble with his cameras. I have used the camera for the past 4 months and it has performed to its expectations. I take approx. 100 - 150 pictures per day of our manf.
Summary: I'm always picky about image quality. This camera is nice and small, but I'm disappointed with it's image quality so I'm now selling and trying to get some money back. I had to revive colors quite a bit with Photoshop. Also, the images were not very sharp. I would go to dpreview.com and find some better cameras for slightly more $. It would be worth it. I originally paid $120 at the beginning of the year.
Summary: It worked, and arrived on time. Canon makes excellent cameras that should be taken care of. When spending money on a used item never pay a high percentage of the item's cost new unless you can see and test the item yourself.
