Canon PowerShot A4000 IS Digital Camera Review

Buy-n-Shoot.com
28 September 2012
  • Conclusion: For $200 anyone would be happy with the features of the Canon A4000 IS digital camera. It’s compact, built well and does a good job handling low light. HD video and the long, 8x zoom range are helped along significantly with the inclusion of Image Stabilization and the high 16mp sensor will allow large, printable images.

Canon PowerShot A4000 IS

PC Magazine
30 April 2012
  • Conclusion: The Canon PowerShot A4000 IS can capture sharp photos and has a nice 8x zoom lens. It keeps noise low at higher ISOs, but sacrifices a good amount of image detail in doing so.
  • Pros: Sharp photos. 8x zoom range. Optical image stabilization.
  • Cons: Slow to start up and recycle. Excessive noise reduction. Limited to digital zoom during video recording.

Canon PowerShot A4000 IS Review

Digitaltrends
14 March 2012
  • Excerpt: Make no mistake, this is an entry-level point and shoot if you’ve ever seen one. At first glance, though, you might be like me and figure you’re getting a higher-end model – it’s got a cleaner, sturdier look and feel to it than many of the budget pocket cams out there, as well as a 16-megapixel sensor and 8x optical zoom. Really, what’s happening is that there isn’t going to be such a thing as the all-auto, bargain-priced point and shoot much longer.
  • Pros: Nice, simple control interface, Inner-navigation is incredibly simple, Just enough extra options to keep exploring
  • Cons: You’re limited with it comes to ISO, Average low light performance at best

Canon PowerShot A4000 IS Review

Tech2
4 February 2012
  • Summary: The Canon PowerShot A4000 IS is available in India at an MRP of Rs.11,995. It is one stylish looking camera that is easily pocketable. As mentioned earlier, one can easily mistake this for a high-end compact camera from the brand. Feature wise, it is not loaded with manual or semi manual controls, but rather a range of presets for leisure shooting. The 8x shooting is an extremely neat feature for a camera priced at this amount, in this form factor.
