Excerpt: I am in no way a photographer and admit that I was stuck in the camera ‘dinosaur’ era. Being sick of having to take my film down to the local photo processor only to find out half of the images were of the ground, or of the cloud above the head I was trying to capture - I finally decided it was time to check out the digital option. I was absolutely bombarded with choice - but I was also daunted by the options available. I settled on the Canon Powershot A400.
Summary: I know it's an old outdated model but I've had one since they were the latest and greatest. Mine finally shot craps and I found this one for $40-, the original was over $200-, this one is either like new or is new. It came in the original box with manuals, all in Spanish. I figure it was new/close out stock from south of the border but since I knew about the camera I didn't care about the manuals, very pleased.
Summary: Shipping was fast! The camera was in above average condition! I have taken photos with this Canon but I have not developed them yet, but so far the camera is working flawlessly! Be warned though, a SDHC card will not work with these older cameras, make sure you use just a plain old SD card.
It has a lot of functions! Good pics so far. Compact.

Summary: I'm pleased with the pics I've taken, however I know that camera can do so much more but mine came with a users manual in Spanish. I wish I could read it. Downloaded English today. I love the size, weight, and all the functions I've figured out so far.
Excerpt: While I have had other digital cameras, the Canon Power Shot A400 is the perfect camera for me. It is easy to use, light weight, compact and most importantly...takes wonderful pictures. The zoom is great for those close encounters that we all want from time to time. It fits into a pocket or purse without weighing it down. The instruction manual is simple and easy to follow. There are many settings for different times of the day.
Excerpt: I received this little camera as a Christmas present. I knew nothing about digital cameras but this was so easy to operate and the owners manual filled me in, in detail, with any questions that I had. I love it, use it all the time and have all the gadgets that go with it.
Excerpt: This camera is junk. True, it takes a picture, but that's about it. The quality is subpar and after 2 years, the camera itself is starting to pull apart and breaking. It takes too long to snap the shot, and often it's fuzzy and you still have to retake the picture. Definitely not worth what it cost.
Excerpt: The cons are just things I wish could be different, and have no implication on what the camera actually promised to do. The camera delivers. I enjoy the size of the camera. Smaller cameras are not better, cameras should fit into our palms, not our fingertips. I can grasp the camera without feeling like it's going to fall through my fingers. I enjoy using and re-using the SD cards that fit into this camera.
