Summary: Just go to Best Buy or a real camera shop if you are in the market for a good camera. This refurbished camera began to fall a part almost from the day it arrived in the mail. Avoid this vendor at all costs!
Summary: I wanted to replace my worn-out Canon PowerShot Elph... this isn't it. My biggest complaint is the 1-2 SECOND delay between pressing the shutter release and the camera actually taking the picture. I've lost countless shots this way, despite being in a fast-shutter mode such as "kids and pets" and using a freshly-charged battery. In video mode, it cannot focus quickly or accurately enough, and I've lost countless videos too!
Summary: I bought this camera expressly for my post-graduate backpacking trip. On day 5, it said "LENS ERROR" and refused to close when I turned it on. Not only did I have to purchase a more expensive one (and now have to use a converter every time I charge it) but I also had the blessing of carrying around the camera as a dead weight (boo!) Thanking my lucky stars for Amazon's fantastic customer service policy, though!
Summary: Purchased this camera because older canon digital Elph fell and broke the lens. This camera's picture quality was so bad that I returned it and purchased a 300HS. 300HS has excellent picture quality and great video and features. I have several cameras and the small one is used for travel/small events. The 300HS is well worth the money compared to this camera.
