The Canon A3000 IS is a compact digital still camera that features built-in flash, 4x Optical/4x Digital/24x Combined Zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer System. The camera supports 10.0 Megapixel image capture via a 1/2.3-inch type Charge Coupled Device (CCD) sensor, has a 6.2 (W) - 24.8 (T) mm (35mm film equivalent: 35-140mm) focal length, 3 cm (1.2 in.) - infinity (W); 30 cm (12 in.) - infinity (T) focusing range, TTL Autofocus, 2.7-inch TFT color LCD with 230 K color support, f/2.7 (W) - f/5.6 (T) aperture setting, 1 - 1/1600 sec 15 - 1/1600 sec. (Total shutter speed range) shutter speed, up to 1600 ISO sensitivity, White Balance Control, built-in flash with a range of 30 cm - 4.0 m (W), 30 cm - 2.0 m (T) (12 in. - 13 ft. (W), 12 in. - 6.6 ft. (T)) and an array of Shooting Modes. The A3000 IS also supports Photo Effects (such as My Colors Off, Vivid, Neutral, Sepia, Black & White, Custom), has a self timer, Continuous Shooting mode, and supports SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card, MultiMediaCard, MMC Plus Card, HC MMC Plus Card storage media. The camera also supports video recording in AVI format, up to 3648 x 2736 pixel resolution still image, USB 2.0 Hi-Speed USB interface which supports direct connection to Canon SELPHY Compact Photo Printers, PIXMA Inkjet Photo Printers and PictBridge-compatible printers via camera’s USB 2.0 Hi-Speed cable, Video Out (NTSC/PAL) interface and monaural audio out. The camera is powered by a NB-8L battery that provides up to 230 shots on one charge, and approximately 6 hours of playback time with the LCD screen on. The A3000 IS measures 3.83 x 2.29 x 1.11 in./97.2 x 58.2 x 28.1 mm and weighs 5.47 oz./155g (camera, including batteries and memory card).

The Canon A3000 IS is a camera that has an image output of 10.0 Megapixels and supports 4x Optical Zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer. This allows users to print high-resolution images which can be enlarged up to 13" x 19". The camera supports Canon’s Optical Image Stabilizer Technology that automatically detects and corrects camera shake to reduce blur and functions with or without a flash. Other features on the camera include Scene Modes such as Super Vivid for additional bursts of color, and Poster Effect for an artistic look, as well as Shooting Modes such as P Program, AUTO, Easy, Portrait, Landscape, Night Snapshot, Kids & Pets, Indoor, and Movie mode. It also supports Face Detection Self Timer, low light mode, Beach mode, Foliage mode, snow mode, fireworks mode, long shutter mode, and Smart AUTO which intelligently selects the proper settings for the camera based on 18 predefined shooting situations.
