Excerpt: I started in the digital arena with a Kodak P&S, then a Canon DSLR. I wanted another P&S for convenient times when I didn't want to carry my larger DSLR. I have shot about 400 images with this model so far. It has extremely limited range, usually giving blown out highlights. For the best shots prepare to stand very still and do not let the subject move, the lag time between pressing the shutter button and the shutter actually opening "feels" like a whole second and then...

Summary: Not very well manufactured. Manufactured in China. Other Canon camera that I have bought are manufactured in Japan where the specification are much tighter. This Canon does not meet the specifications that I am used to.
Summary: I ended up returning the camera due to problems with the camera, but here are the comments I had after my short time with it: Pro: +Decent features considering the price +Compact size, very similar to the Canon ELPH series +Good picture quality. Better than my smartphone which was one of my ultimate desires +Rechargeable and removable battery Cons: -Extremely minor and probably not worth mentioning, but my previous Canon came with a small plastic piece to tighten/loosen...
Conclusion: I owned this camera for one week and returned it because it was so difficult to see through the viewfinder outdoors. I then bought a Canon A1400 because it has an optical viewfinder but haven't used it yet.
Conclusion: Disappointed that there was no manual, why do I want to search and download it. Shouldn't this basic need to understand a camera come with it?? No adaptor, but there is a portal on the camera for one, so again , an extra charge. Very disappointed that the very basics aren't included. Too bad canon, you lost a customer.
Pros: small easy to tuck in a purse
Cons: bare bones, no manual, no ac adaptor, can be slow
Conclusion: I guess the worst thing is it didn't come with a users manual, it has to be downloaded, and their site doesn't work. So I'm stuck with a camera that doesn't focus where I want it to focus, I get these green squares that bracket everything but the item I want to focus on. It takes OK pictures, but file is huge - 3MB plus. Want to anger your friends?try emailing several photos. I keep getting this "LIVE" icon in the corner. What's that supposed to mean?
Pros: fits in your shirt pocket
Cons: 16 mega pixels create huge email attachments
