Summary: Received camera, charged up the battery, inserted a memory card, read the instructions & pushed the "On" button. Lens doesn't open completely. Try gently turning camera off, waiting 15sec., turning on again. Same thing, lens won't open. This time the screen gives the error message "Lens error-Will shut off automatically-Restart camera". What? *sigh* Fine. Try it a few more times; sometimes getting the error message & sometimes not.
Conclusion: When you buy the camera, it should be workable out of the box but this camera did not work. I am going to try and get a memory card to see if I add a new memory card, I might be able to get it to start. Yes, the battery is fully charged.
Summary: Took this to the circus since it was small. It was a pain to use. Trying to snap pics and it wouldn't take the pic. I missed quite a few things. I have two other Canons that are awesome, but they are bigger and heavy to carry. Lesson learned!
Summary: I returned it! All the pictures were blurry; and when checking it out on YouTube, I found that others had the same experience...out of focus pictures. I am now looking for a camera to replace this but am leary since the reviews were good. Apparently people were paid to say it was good, or Canon put out a big batch of bad cameras! Since I had another Canon that I wasn't happy with years ago, I won't buy another Canon.
Conclusion: CAMERA TO BE ALL AS STATED.HOWEVER WITHOUT A INSTRUCTION MANUAL EVEN A GEEK WILL HAVE PROBLEMS TO USE ALL THE FINE FEATURES AVAILABLE,SO FAR WHAT I HAVE DISCOVERED WIYH HELP FROM LIFE LONG USER OF CANON CAMERS IS RATED 4 STARS. WITHOUT A INSTRUCTION I WOULD RATE IT 1/2 STAR.WOULD NOT RECCOMEND.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Missing features/settings, Difficult to use, Complicated controls/menu, no instruction guide
