  • Summary: Add to the camera being poor what it says you get on the site isn't the same as what the box says.I noticed other people have stated this "FIX IT".

  • Summary: This camera looks great and has a good view screen. However, it did not come with a complete user manual. After opening the camera and only having a basic information sheet giving instructions on how to put the batteries, we discovered no operation manual, no connection cord to download pictures onto your computer and no memory card. It would have been nice to have known these things were also needed for this camera and that they were NOT included in the price.

.... unfortunate view

nebraska wind, Canon

  • Conclusion: The Canon A1400 purchased through a national chain store, July 2013, has already self destructed by Thanksgiving. The camera purchased as a gift for a senior citizen was selected over another brand. The simple "no extras" features were a primary focus. By Thanks giving holiday with less than 20 jpegs on the SD Card the optics had gone "South". The chain store 15-day return policy had expired. I regret my decision to shop "price".
  • Cons: Short battery life, short life span

  • Summary: I was very disappointed with this camera. I have always bought Coolpix (Nikkon) and Fugi cameras and liked them. I thought this camera would be the same. It was not. It is made of flimsy plastic. The battery latch didn't work so the batteries wouldn't stay in making the camera impossible to use. I was very sorry it didn't work, but had to take it back. I bought it online but discovered it was available in the store for the same price.

  • Summary: Perhaps it may meet your expectations; but it was a no go for me. The specs are impressive, the camera is small and lightweight - but that's where the good things end. The camera is cheap plastic and it uses AA Batteries (yeah, that'll last long). I bought it online and picked up at store. Once home I opened it and immediately saw the batteries and then picked up the camera and was disappointed. I put it back in the box and went right back to the store and returned it.

  • Summary: After you take a picture you have to stand there and wait for the flash to charge. Didn't come with a cable to download your photos to your computer. Had to take memory card out of this camera and put it in my old Cannon camera in order to download. For the life of me, I couldn't get the strap on the camera because the hole was smaller than the strap. Bought a week ago, going back today.
