Summary: What a waste of money. It worked fine for the first month or so. Then I started to get "low battery" after taking less than 50 photos. I would take the batteries out, test them, and they still showed full power. Next, a round black smudge mark started appearing in the photos.
Summary: I was warned in other's reviews, but did not listen. This camera has a huge delay. I get nothing but pictures of people as they leave. It can be used for nothing but still shots. Then the camera goes on hold to charge the flash after every picture. Wish I could send it back.

Summary: I bought one of these cameras in April, 2013, and really liked it. It was easy to use, and the photos came out great. Then the batteries started discharging after only about one day. It was within the time limit of themreturn policy, so I was able to return it for a full refund.
Summary: I had a PowerShot A540 that suddenly didn't see new batteries. I had read online that it could not be fixed and decided to try the Powershot A1300 HD. After 4 weeks and two uses, the A1300 had the same error. Changing the batteries to fresh ones does not clear it.
Summary: I usually never write bad product reviews, but i have to this time. Over the past 25 years or so I have had many Cannon film camera. One of their 1st point and shoots took better photos than my pro camera. BUT the A1300 is not the same. From when I took it out of the box it was cheap and plastic.
Summary: I bought this camera for my mom. She's not great with electronics so I wanted something simple to use and without all those ridiculous features that nobody uses. I grew up in a PowerShot family so I trusted this device based on it's name.
Summary: I have owned several Canon point and shoot and professional cameras and have been very happy with them for the most part. I ordered this camera because I liked the idea of having a viewfinder.
Summary: The functions and features of this camera are very good for the price... that is... IF YOU CAN GET THE FREAKIN' THING TO WORK!!! Shortly after purchasing the camera my screen went black and I could not see any images in the LCD view finder. (Menu works fine.
Summary: The quality of the indoors photos is unacceptable, even for an inexpensive camera, so I'm very disappointed in Canon. On the highest quality settings the indoors photos are very grainy and blurry - similar to my iPhone photos in quality.
