Excerpt: I owned this camera before having my actual A1300. This is a good compact camera and you can make great photos in automatic mode. It must be bright day light. I didn't accomplish this photo from first shot. You must have patience, perseverence, and best angle.
Summary: This camera has been terrific! I use this camera in my work as a real estate appraiser. Several of the features that make it particularly good for me are the fact that it will acquire it's point of focus quickly. Whether I am taking interior pictures walking from room to room on the inside of a house or driving down the street trying to quickly stick the camera out the window for a quick shot as I am aiming it very quickly focuses, frames the picture and lets me know it...
Take great pictures for the size and sturdily built enough to last.

Summary: Really like the quality of the pictures this camera takes and especially for its compact size. I'm not a photo hobbyist so I don't know what all the special tricks and ritual sacrifices needed to take a great picture are but the simplicity of this point and shoot camera makes taking photos good enough to frame easy for me. The other upside to this camera is that it's built like an old Nokia candybar phone.
Summary: This is exactly what we were looking for. Good quality images, enough magnification, fits in my pocket, macro etc. Best of all it has a viewfinder feature that makes it easier to take pictures on sunny days. We get a few of those in TX. It's like having a mini SLR.
Summary: This camera is exactly what I wanted. I'm just a Grandpa in Ohio who loves taking pictures of the grandkids and family. Very easy to use, point and shoot. Love the zoom and other features. If you are just wanting to take beautiful pictures but are not a "photographer" this is the one for you. Have a happy day.
Summary: I can't believe how nice these photos are! I chose this camera for it's LOW PRICE, small size, AA alkaline batteries, and viewfinder. I didn't need an impressive Megapix or zoom and I definitely didn't want to rely on a charger! This camera had to be easy and portable to capture family moments. I am surprised how easy it is to take beautiful photos. Especially in motion! We were finally able to capture my son in action playing baseball.
Summary: The camera is easy to learn to use. The pictures are clear and the automatic focus (day or night light) is great. I believe anyone who just needs a camera for every day photos will find this one as good as any other in it's price range.
Summary: To keep things short and sweet. Great buy, beautiful clear picture. What more could be said. If there is one product, Canon is at the top of the list. I now have great pictures of my grand kids, and it was never easier. Sure am glad to have bought this camera.
Summary: This is my second Canon camera and my third point and shoot. What caught my eye with this camera was the price and the megapixels. We took it skiing this past month to Copper Mountain and took bunches of pictures and several movies. Let me digress. My first camera was a Canon S100, a 3 megapixel that took great pictures and I still have it since is it smaller and lighter.
Summary: I wanted a very simple camera, and this exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is great. Unfortunately, you can't take pictures with it right out of the box- it needs a memory card. Besides that, it comes with a wrist strap and AA batteries. I would reccommend this camera to anyone who wants a good camera without paying hundreds of dollars.
